OFFICIAL COMMENCEMENT OF ELECTION AND CONVENTION PROCESSES

This is to officially notify all University Students, SUG Presidents, and the general public, that the transition and convention processes for the National Association of University Students (NAUS) Akwa Ibom State Chapter, has officially commenced, and as we prepare to usher in a new leadership, the Convention Planning Committee (CPC) is dedicated to ensuring a transparent, fair, and democratic process.

THE COMPOSITION OF THE STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL IS AS FOLLOWS:

*NAUS 2026 CONVENTION: NOMINATION PROCESS BEGINS*

The leadership of the National Association of University Students (NAUS), through the Convention Planning Committee (CPC), has officially commenced the collection of nomination forms for the 2026 National Convention, effective today, 1st April 2026.

This marks the formal opening of the democratic process that will usher in a new crop of leaders to steer the affairs of our great association. All interested aspirants are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to participate actively in shaping the future of NAUS.

Nomination forms are FREE of charge and can be obtained from the Office of the Secretary, Convention Planning Committee (CPC), in line with the approved timetable.

We urge all aspirants to strictly adhere to the stipulated guidelines and timelines, and to conduct themselves with the highest level of decorum, responsibility, and commitment to the ideals of student unionism.

NAUS remains committed to a transparent, credible, and inclusive convention process.

*OFFICIAL RELEASE: NAUS 2026 ELECTORAL ZONING ARRANGEMENT*

The Convention Planning Committee (CPC) of the National Association of University Students (NAUS) has officially released the approved zoning arrangement for elective positions ahead of the 2026 National Convention.

This zoning structure is in strict compliance with the provisions of the NAUS Constitution, ensuring fairness, equity, and balanced representation across all geopolitical zones of the federation. It reflects the association’s commitment to inclusiveness, unity, and orderly leadership transition.

All aspirants are hereby advised to carefully study the zoning framework and align their ambitions accordingly. The positions have been clearly distributed among the six geopolitical zones to promote equal participation and strengthen national cohesion within the student movement.

It is important to note that:
• All contests must strictly follow the approved zoning arrangement.
• Any violation will attract disqualification.
• The CPC retains full authority to interpret and enforce the zoning guidelines in line with constitutional provisions.

We call on all stakeholders, delegates, and aspirants to uphold the spirit of fairness, discipline, and unity as we collectively work towards a successful NAUS 2026 Convention.

Celebrating Academic Excellence Among Oruk Anam Students

Driven by my passion for educational development, I successfully convened an educational outreach as the Chairperson of the National Association Of University Students (NAUS) Campus Monitoring Committee, Akwa Ibom State Axis, on Friday, 27th March 2026, reaching selected nursery, primary and secondary schools in Oruk Anam.

The outreach, organized in honour of the lawmaker representing Oruk Anam State Constituency, Hon. Sampson Idiong, provided educational materials to students as a way of encouraging academic excellence and supporting their learning process.

This initiative reflects my continued dedication to student advancement and my belief that investing in education remains key to shaping a better future.
