It’s time to meet the nations heading to Windhoek for the FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations 2026.

Over the coming days, we’ll be introducing the full teams representing their countries on the biggest stage in African motocross.

And there’s only one place to start.

MEET TEAM NAMIBIA!

The host nation is ready.

From the youngest riders on the gate to the seasoned racers carrying years of experience, these are the riders who will pull on the Namibian colours and represent their country on home soil.

Across every class, they have one thing in common:

They race for Namibia and when those gates drop at Gallina, they’ll have something no other nation has. The home crowd behind them.

Africas biggest Motocross series is proudly hosted by the Namibia Motorsport Federation this year.

With riders from all over the continent taking task to be crowned best Team in Africa, this event is something not to he missed.

Taking place at the Gallina Motocross Windhoek, history is once again being made.

Made possible by an array of industry partners, we wish all teams the best on luck and an extra extension to Team Namibia and all the riders proudly representing their country.

56th SHELL V-POWER TARA CONCLUDES

The Windhoek Motor Club has once again put together an amazing event in what is dubbed Namibias flagship Rally.

Starting with the new Super Super Special layout on Thursday evening which was very entertaining for spectators. The reverse running onlf tge Rehoboth stages on Friday also produced new flare as well as new spectator points to see the action from another angle and of course, finishing off in Windhoek on Saturday.

22 vehicles started altogether on Thursday in the rally and off road classes and a total of 19 crossed the finish line of which three were Super Rally finishers.

We wish to congratulate the following winners but also all the teams that made it to the finish of this grueling event.

The Tara Rally kicks of in Wndhoek tonight, continues in Rehoboth on Friday, with the final leg back in Windhoek on Saturday.

KARTING NEWS

Leg 3 of the National Karting Championship will be taking place on May 09th at the Windhoek Motor Club / Tony Rust Race Track in Windhoek.

Come watch the future of motorsport in action and also support a very good cause.❤️

COMMISSION EXECUTIVES ELECTED FOR NEW 2 YEAR TERM

The NMSF held its Annual General Meeting on February 21st, attended by majority of the affiliated clubs and members of the Namibia Sport Commission.

Matters discussed included presentation of the Federations 2024 and 2025 Financial Statements as well as reports presented by federation president, Daniel Tjongarero.

As always, the meeting was interactive and new constitutional amendments have also been adopted.

Three EC positions were up for election and the following individuals have been elected for a two year term.

➡️ Andreas Brendel: Motorcycling Commission Chairperson (re-elected)🏁

➡️ Deon Diergaardt: Motoring Commission Chairperson - Non Racing (newly elected)🏁

They will join Daniel Tjongarero (President) and Benson Kalla (Vice President) for another term as the Executive Committee members.

Secretary-General Derek Jacobs and Women in Motorsport Representative Chané Havenga form part of the non-voting members of the committee.

Affiliated with FIA and FIM, NMSF oversees 12 motorsport clubs and events, driving passion from January to December every year.

JOSEPHAT TO BE AWARDED AT 2025 SARMC PRIZE GIVING - NAMIBIA KARTING NEWS

Russell Josephat, the Namibian Karting youngster that has managed to make a name for himself in recent years, will be the only Namibian national to be awarded at the upcoming SARMC Northern Region Prize giving to be held in South Africa.

The youngster has also, due to his performance in the past National Championships, managed to attract MTC as an official sponsor and has shown that with the right support and motivation, talent can be unlocked.

Watching him race it is evident how he keeps his composure on track and he always remains very humble in post race engagements.

RJ63, by which he is also known, will be crowned Micro Max National champion at the upcoming Motorsport Federation Prize giving ceremony to be held in February thus making him a two time Champion, previously for the Bambino class.

We will be keeping our eyes on him.
