📢 Taekwondo Kuala Lumpur (TKL) – 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026

Yesterday, Taekwondo Kuala Lumpur successfully held its 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM). We are pleased to share that the meeting was conducted smoothly, with strong participation from our member clubs and all agenda items being successfully deliberated and adopted.

# # 🥋 Historic Achievement: Master Raffique Hashimi Hashim Strikes Silver in Mongolia! 🇲🇾

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a monumental moment for Malaysian Taekwondo!

Our very own **Master Raffique Hashimi Hashim**, the Head Coach of TKL Poomsae, has officially etched his name in history by securing the **Silver Medal** at the **9th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships**! 🥈

Held from May 19–20, 2026, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, this prestigious event brought together the elite of Asian Taekwondo. Amidst the intense competition, Master Raffique stood tall, showcasing unparalleled precision, spirit, and dedication in the **Recognized Individual Male Under 50** category.

What makes this victory even more significant is that **Master Raffique was the only Malaysian athlete to bring home a medal** from this championship. His relentless commitment to the craft and his role as our Head Coach continues to inspire every student at TKL Poomsae to aim higher and push beyond their limits.

Taekwondo Kuala Lumpur successfully hosted the Kyorugi Referee Refresher and Qualification Seminar 2026 on May 30th–31st at Kompleks Rakan Muda Bukit Kiara.

With 82 participants in attendance, the seminar served as a vital platform for professional development within our referee community. We were honored to have Master Johnny Loke lead the sessions, providing expert insights throughout the two-day program.

We also express our sincere appreciation to Master Louis Lum Poh Yee for her coordination efforts in making this event a success.

Congratulations to all participants for their active involvement, and our best wishes to the 14 candidates awaiting their test results.

🏆 CHAMPIONS IN THE MAKING! 🏆
We are bursting with pride as we celebrate Team TKL’s incredible performance at the 15th TM(WT)-MILO-KBS National Junior Championships 2026! 🥋🔥

Held from the 15th to the 17th of May at Stadium Tertutup Nilai, our athletes displayed true grit, discipline, and sportsmanship on the national stage. After an intense competition, Team TKL has walked away with an impressive total haul of 7 Gold, 5 Silver, and 20 Bronze medals across various categories!

This achievement is a testament to the hard work put in by our dedicated athletes and the unwavering support of our coaching staff.

Our Remaja Tournament concluded yesterday, and despite the many obstacles we faced throughout our preparation this year — including injuries to several of our medal prospects, examination commitments, and other challenges — we still managed to emerge as Overall 2nd Place.

This year, we fielded a relatively young and new team, but despite their lack of experience, the athletes gave their very best and showed tremendous fighting spirit throughout the tournament.

We take this year as a valuable learning and building process. The exposure and experience gained will only make this team stronger, more confident, and better prepared for the future.

With proper preparation and continued development, we are confident that this team will come back even stronger next year.

Thank you once again to all GMs, Masters, coaches, parents, and supporters for the continuous guidance and support shown to the team.

TKL Remaja Team Attire Handover Ceremony

What was supposed to be a perfect handover ceremony quickly turned into chaos.

First, the blackout hit our venue.
Then we had to move everything outside to the park.
And just when we thought things could not get any tougher — the rain came pouring down.

But if there’s one thing about TKL…
WE DON’T STOP.

No excuses.
No complaints.
No backing down.

We adapted. We pushed through. We made it happen.

Because at TKL, we don’t believe in “cannot.”
No matter the situation, no matter the challenge — we find a way and we deliver.

Rain or shine, blackout or not…
TKL spirit stands strong.

THAT is what makes us different.
