: From two SUKMA golds to a search for Sarawak’s next generation.

Fresh from Sarawak’s historic men’s and women’s water polo double at SUKMA XXII, Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu wants the sport’s reach expanded beyond Kuching.

The ambition goes beyond SUKMA. With water polo on the SEA Games programme, Rentap hopes Sarawak’s resurgence can eventually translate into more of the state’s players earning places in the national team.

β€œSo now we want to bring it back,” he said.
