The word “personalization” in fitness gets thrown around a lot. But what does it actually mean?

It doesn’t always mean doing something completely different from everyone else. Sometimes it means doing the same things, but understanding why it fits where you’re at right now.

Two different people could have the same goal whilst doing the same exercise, but whether that looks like a barbell or just your bodyweight depends on you. That’s personalization!

A good coach doesn’t just write you a program, it’s about knowing when changes need to be made, and whether what you’re doing actually fits your body, your lifestyle, and your goals right now.

That’s what we do at MOVE.

“How long does it take to see results?” Short answer: it depends.

Everyone starts somewhere different, with different goals, different baselines, and different lifestyles.

That’s why there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. We need to know where your starting point is before anything else.

What we do know is that strength tends to improve first, followed by muscle growth, which takes longer as it’s a structural change.

But how fast any of it happens also comes down to what you do outside of your training sessions. Your sleep, your nutrition, your stress levels and your daily habits all play a role đź’¤

Training gives your body the stimulus. Everything else determines how well it responds!

Everyone’s timeline looks different, and that’s okay. But with guidance, consistency, and a little patience, progress is inevitable. 👊

This is what most diets miss — flexibility.

Ate heavily at lunch? Adjust dinner.
Skipped a meal? Lean into something more substantial in your next one.

There are no “fails”, just adjustments to be made.

Because no single food makes or breaks your diet. The overall pattern and consistency matter more.

Everything on the outside looked successful. But her health was at its lowest.

Before becoming a coach, YC was a strategy consultant turned entrepreneur. Fitness was never part of the plan. But persistent health issues crept into her daily life, and for a long time, back pain was something she quietly lived with.

Through strength training, she regained what was lost. The freedom and ability to move without pain.

That experience led her to bring her mum along. One year later, her mum’s knee pain was completely gone.

Today, Coach carries that same passion into every session at MOVE. Helping others move well, live more!

That’s what moves her. 🫶🏻

“I eat so clean already, why am I not losing weight?”

This quadrant might finally answer that question.

Peanuts, avocado, salmon, coconut milk. All of them sit in the high calorie, high nutrient corner. Genuinely good nutritionally, but calorie-dense. And that’s exactly where the disconnect happens.

The same applies to swaps you’d never think twice about:
* Fresh fruits vs a fruit smoothie
* Canned fish in oil vs water
Same source, but completely different place on the quadrant!

The point isn’t to eliminate any of the quadrants completely. None of it is off the table. 🍽️

But understanding where your food actually sits helps you make smarter, more informed decisions about your nutrition.
