You can know all four stages by heart — and still find yourself reaching for your phone at 2am.
That’s the part no one prepares you for.
Because this was never about intelligence. You’re not staying because you don’t see it. You see it more clearly than anyone. You could teach a class on it.
You’re staying because somewhere along the way, your body stopped knowing the difference between love and relief. Between being chosen and being granted permission to exhale.
When someone becomes the source of your pain and the only thing that soothes it, leaving doesn’t feel like freedom. It feels like withdrawal. Like grief. Like you’re abandoning the one person who knows you — when really, you’re abandoning the version of yourself that learned to survive him.
This is why willpower keeps failing you. You can’t think your way out of something your nervous system learned to depend on. You have to unlearn it — gently, and with someone who won’t flinch when you say the parts out loud that you’ve never told anyone.
That’s the work I do.

The New Moon marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle, a time to pause, reset, and plant intentions for what you wish to grow.
Gemini invites us to pay attention to our thoughts, words, beliefs, and the stories we tell ourselves. What you repeatedly think becomes what you speak. What you speak becomes what you create.
A simple New Moon ritual:
✨ Light a candle or sit quietly for a few moments.
✨ Take three slow, intentional breaths.
✨ Write down what you are ready to release.
✨ Write down three intentions you wish to call into your life.
✨ Read your intentions aloud and trust that the seed has been planted.

Your body can remember what your mind has forgotten.
There are certain days where you may suddenly feel heavier, more anxious, more emotional, or more withdrawn without fully understanding why.
You may tell yourself, “Nothing happened today. I don’t know why I feel this way.”
But sometimes, your nervous system remembers before your conscious mind does.
This is often known as an anniversary reaction, where grief, trauma, or emotional pain can resurface around the same period connected to a significant loss, wound, or painful chapter in your life.
This does not always look like crying.
Sometimes it looks like exhaustion.
Sometimes it looks like irritability.
Sometimes it looks like needing more silence than usual.
Sometimes it looks like your body feeling unsafe, even when your present life is calm.
And this is important to understand:
You are not being dramatic.
You are not going backwards.
You are not failing at healing.
Your body may simply be remembering a season, a date, a person, a loss, or a version of you that had to survive something painful.
Healing is not only about remembering what happened.
Sometimes, healing is learning to recognise what your body is trying to tell you with compassion instead of judgment.
So if certain days feel heavier than others, pause and ask yourself gently:
“What might my body be remembering right now?”
Because awareness is where the nervous system begins to feel safe again.
