"The only reason they doing well is because of..."

Is among the salty excuses that no-action takers will say. Imagine you have a tall fighter joining a competition & the haters scream "only reason he won because he was tall & long reach..." πŸ‘ˆπŸ» This is as if: saying that will trick the tall fighter to forfeit his advantage to come down and fight. Not only is it NOT our problem that he is tall, but is a puzzle YOU have to figure out how to fight. It also seems to omit the other hard work this tall fighter has done.

To say the reason business XYZ do well because of connection, "his father was rich", he was lucky or that because they did ABC seems more like a YOU problem for being salty. No sane person will take off their advantage. Heck some of these advantages are hard earned, right place at the right time.

I will call out people who also say "because she was pretty", "because he has cable", "because he was born at..." πŸ’†πŸ»πŸ’†πŸ»πŸ’†πŸ»πŸ€¦πŸ»πŸ€¦πŸ»πŸ€¦πŸ»

If you expect the world to be like "chess" where everything is equal and play like that, NO... THE WORLD IS MAHJONG... You are dealt a random bad hand and we all learn how to play using our head. Even some of the ones dealt with "good hands" can still fail and cry foul salty coz they themselves don't know how to play. Life does not care about your entitlement.

Do not ask for fair play, do not be entitled. Work like everyone else, sacrifice like everyone else, you are also not ABOVE "flipping burgers". Fail? Get up & try again.

For the ones with whatever advantage or God given talent or grit / hardwork... Stay humble & know that the blessing you have can also be gone. Be grateful. Be mindful. Be ready also that you may need other things to lean on. Keep it up hustlers.

You can tell kids what to do... But it's better if you show them how to do it. Kids especially learn from examples.

Adults too if they are coachable. So take action.

As I reflect... My line of work deals with a lot of young people. Was a part time lecturer. My gym has many young adults. The events I run are usually those with the "young at heart" coming. Private mindset coaching for young professionals. The hobbies I play are full of young people.

I have meet some of the most cynical, β„οΈπŸ“ & Karen complaining individuals ever... Trouble makers... Soy boys & honestly dreadful soul on the planet... The type that makes you wonder "wouldn't society work better without this person around" kind of questions. All they do is drama, blaming & a constant miserable victim that suck the life out of you.

But I have also meet some of the most hungry, passionate, crazy intelligent/mature for their age . The combination of their curiosity, youth & coachability makes them the hope of our country. Yet these people are often lonely until you introduce them to like minded circle... There you see the spark in their eyes.

Young leaders. Action takers. They are wonderful as servant workers but can switch roles to be a tribe leaders. They respect wisdom & tradition adding their own modern methods. One more thing... They have a big heart to share... They know when to step up AND step back. They take initiatives. They understand urgency. They are very resourceful (plus to the modern tech) & they hold their opinion until they get more information (not relying on what just a friend said).

This duality with dealing with youth shows that where the country, society or community is going depends which one of these is your majority. If you have a tribe of builders, things happen, things grow... If you have a tribe of mongers & decadence, everything is toxic.

This reinforces my belief that you must continue to stay positive & have a growth mindset but at the same time kick & get rid of destructive individuals or groups.

Like gardening, tend to the ones that can grow. Pluck out and keep away from poisonous weeds.

Be they successful fighters, champions, talents, young leaders or social workers... These are the one give hope and I'm proud to be around them & continue to learn.

May our circle be surrounded by the new, young & hopeful.

I took a long rest after Hobbycon & went to reconnect back with a lot of things I been neglecting... My family, my hobbies & went on to explore things / events I wouldn't normally do.

I also had a conversation with myself that I want to be more intentional about things as well. Help those that I WANT to help while making it clear I will kick people out who try to take advantage with guilt trips or word twisting.

I also want to allow myself to be more vicious and be unapologetic to the "takers", "trouble starters" and bullies that come in their group. I think while it is true that some of us grow more mellow... I felt letting people trying to use moral high ground to get their way deserves to be thrown off their horse & be humbled sometimes.

In doing so I found myself much more... Happier.
I end up discovering new things about myself & realized there's more to learn about life.

May 2026 be an interesting self discovery journey.
