🥽 CHOOSE THE RIGHT GOGGLES FOR THE RIGHT SWIM
Parents often ask us:
"Teacher, which goggles should I buy for my child?”
There isn't one pair that's best for everybody.
A competitive swimmer may prefer a **thin, lightweight, low-profile racing goggle with two split straps**, while a beginner may be much happier with **larger lenses and thicker, softer silicone seals**.
For children, size matters too. 👧
Kids' goggles are generally designed with smaller lenses and a narrower nose bridge/gap to better suit a smaller face. An adult-size goggle can be perfectly good quality but still be the wrong fit for your child.
And there are more choices depending on your purpose:
🏁 **Racing** — speed & low resistance
🏊 **Training** — everyday comfort & durability
😊 **Recreational** — bigger, softer & comfortable
🤿 **Swim Mask** — wider vision & larger facial seal
🌊 **Open Water** — wide vision & glare protection
👓 **Optical** — clearer underwater vision for short-sighted swimmers
👧 **Kids** — smaller lenses & narrower nose bridge
The lesson for parents is simple:
**Don't choose goggles only by brand, price or colour.**
**Choose according to FACE + FIT + PURPOSE.**
A properly fitting pair should feel secure without needing to be painfully tight.
Still unsure which goggles suit your child?
