Wanyithu wa community ya New Salawe mu chigawa cha T/A Mkondowe, Nkhata Bay North wayambapo programme yakunozgaso naku sanusha golo lawo la masaza ya bola kuti masewelo yayendengi makola kuyana na milingo ya Football Association of Malawi. Iwoo wakupempha wose awo mbamachitiko, including wa Friends of Salawe, kuti wawakoleko pa kawoko pa ntchito iyi.

The community of New Salawe in the area of T/A Mkondowe in Nkhata Bay North, has embarked on a programme of upgrading their football ground to match the standards of the Football Association of Malawi. They are requesting for support from any well wishers, including the Friends of Salawe.

CHIUTA NIMUWEMI BOAT LAKUSOWA LASANGIKA
The search and rescue operation which was launched on Lake Malawi to locate a boat that was carrying four Dutch tourists and 3 crew (Malawian and Tanzania), which went missing yesterday, Sunday, 26th July 2026, and operated by Makutuwima Cruise, has been successful. The boat was located this afternoon around 1500hours by one of the search party, Alleluya Boat, and all the seven sailors were found alive and safe, although weak due to being in the cold waters for an extended period. The rescued sailors have now been taken to Mbamba Bay for medical check-up and suppport.
We thank all those that took part in this operation from the two governments, but also the brave ordinary people of Usisya (Nkhata Bay North) and surrounding areas of the lakeshore).
We also thank all that offered prayers for the successful outcome of the operation.

Usisya joins Search and Rescue Operation for missing boat on Lake Malawi owned by Makutuwima Cruise. The boat was reported missing yesterday Sunday as it was travelling from Mbamba Bay in Tanzania to Nkhata Bay with four Dutch tourists and three Malawi/Tanzanian crew members. We pray for a successful rescue.

FUNDRAISING KAWANDA CCAP, NKHATABAY NORTH
Kawanda CCAP Church of Kawanda, Usisya, Nkhata Bay North will be holding a fundraising function on 15th August 2026 to raise funds towards the roofing of the church building which recently collapsed.
The Church is seeking assistance from well-wishers so that they hold a successful fundraising programme. The assistance may be provided in cash and kind.
