ALL SET FOR THE NATIONAL CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP

The Cycling Federation of Malawi has urged people in the country to take part in the 2026 National Cycling Championship, which is expected to take place on 9 August 2026 in Mzuzu City.

According to the president of the organization, Malombo Kayira, Elite riders will race 110 kilometers from Katoto to Vizala in Nkhata Bay District. Those in the Masters group will race from Katoto to Nkhata Bay Turnoff, while children will race at Katoto Ground.

He further said, the winners in both men’s and women’s categories will receive a cash prize of K1 million and there are also many other prizes for those who will perform well.

“All those who want to take part in this competition must pay an entry fee of K30,000 for Elite, K10,000 for Masters, and K5,000 for children, therefore i encouraged people across the country to take part in the competition,” said Kayira.

Meanwhile, Kayira has urged Malawians to register their names at the Malawi National Council of Sports offices in all regions in order to take part in this competition.
