The Malta Rowing Federation was proudly represented by rowers Mark Schembri (Siggiewi Rowing Club) and Edward Grech (University of Malta Rowing Club) at the May 2026 3rd stage of the Trofeo Lido Filippi 2026 International Beach Sprint circuit in Bacoli, Italy. This was made possible thanks to the the funding received from BeActive - SportMalta through the International Participation Scheme.
Competing in the highly competitive Senior Men’s Solo (CM1X) category, both athletes built on the experience gained in Mondello earlier this year, to compete alongside athletes from some of the sport’s strongest rowing nations. Mark delivered a strong performance and showed excellent progress, while Edward added another ranking point to his tally.
