That took me to wonder: I had seen the claims passed around for years: that water forms beautiful shapes when exposed to positive words, and fractured shapes when exposed to negative ones. It was easy to want it to be true. After all, we are mostly water.

What mother wouldn’t hope that kindness, spoken aloud or whispered in the heart, could change something that fundamental?
But when I finally looked into it — not as a believer nor a skeptic, but as someone trained to ask, What is real here? What is biology? What is physics?

The truth became even more interesting than the myth.
