🏆🇮🇹🇱🇻The Latvian team participated in the Italian Kickboxing World Cup 2026, which took place in the Italian city of Jesolo from 10. up to 15. change. Athletes from 47 countries took part in the tournament and in total, more than 4,000 starts were registered in different disciplines and age categories, making this tournament one of the biggest kickboxing events in the world. This year, the highest number of participants in this competition has been achieved.
The Latvian team was represented by 5 athletes from different clubs.
Anna Kozhukovka started Musical forms in the discipline, where athletes demonstrate fighting techniques with music. Good technical readiness, coordination and movement dynamics were demonstrated in his performance program. Her performance featured a variety of kickboxing techniques, punches, jumps and acrobatic elements that were harmonized with her chosen music. The performance was energetic and visually impressive, which helped showcase the athlete's mastery in international competition, winning 7. space.
In ring disciplines, our athletes competed against tough opponents from different countries, gained international experience and tested their fitness for high-level competition.
Girts Bader started in the Full Contact discipline in the final battle convincingly defeated an athlete from Turkmenistan, becoming World Cup champion. 🏆🥇
Eduards Zivti contactš also participated in the full contact discipline, but concededed after points to an opponent from Turkmenistan.
Artjom Savelyevs fought according to K-1 rules, where he won over an athlete from Sweden with a unanimous decision of the judges. 🏆🥇
Dmitry Kolesniks also fought according to K-1 rules, convincingly defeated an athlete from Finland in the 1⁄2 fight, but in the finals the opponent proved to be superior. Well earned 2nd with honor. the place to be. 🥈
We are proud of our athletes' performance and results, which prove the hard work they put in in training. Participation in such a high-level tournament is an important step in the development of athletes and motivation for future starts.
We are also happy for our judge Anastasia Kozhukovska, who continues her beginner development in competitions of this level.
