Comment “Lunch” and here are some extra tips :

1. You can get protein in many ways. Not just by single items, but by pairing items together.

Also, your children do not need as much protein as an adult , so make sure to include portions for each of your children’s needs.

2. Include at least 1 regular or familiar item your kid likes especially if you’re trying a new lifestyle change.

3. Get the tools and prep items needed to help make it smooth. Icing packs, thermos cups, using both homemade items and grab and goes.

4. It’s not about perfection.

Save this song for your next run.

I went for a jog today for the first time in over a year. And these jogs, are exactly how I even got started on my path to a metabolic specialist. See Jogging was my therapy in high school when
..

My step mom was dying of cancer, I took my dad off life support, my mom was in a coma from a hemorrhagic stroke but survived and now lives with me , my brother was hit and ran over by trucks, and I was just to be starting college.

Who would have thought those runs that were insanely therapeutic, would turn into my first job at an all women’s gym, to Human & Anatomy, meeting my now husband , sports medicine , body building, exercise science degrees, into hospital Operating rooms, my own virtual clinic, a career devoted to “helping people” ( I say that because of my fear of losing people and death and control which I now know through therapy, and you can’t just fix people, even with medicine. Because sometimes it just out of our control. )

That I became too obsessed with exercise and fixes. Then my own body and flesh too started failing.

Until I met Jesus. And boom. It’s like all of a sudden peace just washed over me. That first hour of peace - is indescribable. An Amazing Grace.

I’ve been in EMDR therapy, seeking counseling at my church, and all the things. I still believe exercise and medicine have a place. But it’s nothing without a faithful spirit.

I was explaining my whole journey in this video , now being a stay at home mom with all this and not exercising nearly as much because I’ve put all my efforts into my spiritual wellbeing. Not just physical. My children. My family. ..

where I don’t have work to just keep my mind busy , and this song came on during my jog! I use .

Anyways. If you made it this far , thanks for stopping by! âœŒđŸŒ

What happens!?

There’s actually good evidence in stopping weight loss programs, and weight gain coming back within the year.

Regardless the weight loss intervention ( medical, surgical, or just lifestyle) the weight re-gain stays pretty consistent following one year post and continues.

In the Biggest Loser study with Jillian Michaels - contestants regain 70% of the weight they lost over those 6 years , and their metabolism stayed suppressed.

The biggest questions in weight loss are not just does it work, it becomes a question of

1. is it sustainable?
2 Are we addressing what’s causing the metabolic the issues?
3. What’s adherence look like after interventions?
4. Variables like eating disorders

Outside of inflammatory bio markers ( which is a form of weight we see on the scale ) - could long term peptide use be the answer?are life long treatments what we’re aiming for?

My question , is if we have peptides and hormone therapy more widely accessible now , are we seeing increases in infertility rates? Or lower onset of puberty or perimenopause at younger ages?

Because if not- we’re not addressing all the variables that’s causing us to be here in the first place with lowering infertile rates - and higher disease rates.

Obesity and metabolism isn’t just how large you are.
It’s fertility and population.

What are your thoughts? 💭

Research consistently shows that many people can achieve meaningful weight loss.

The more difficult question is:

Can that weight loss be maintained over the long term?

This is where decades of research remind us that weight regulation is far more complex than simply “eating less.”

Long-term outcomes are influenced by many factors, including:
✔ Changes in appetite and hunger hormones
✔ Metabolic adaptation
✔ Muscle mass
✔ Physical activity
✔ Sleep
✔ Stress
✔ Nutrition quality
✔ The food environment
✔ Ongoing medical and behavioral support

GLP-1 medications are an important advancement for many people and can be highly effective when appropriately prescribed. Like other interventions, however, they work within a broader picture of long-term health. Evidence to date suggests that many individuals regain some weight after stopping treatment, which highlights the importance of developing sustainable habits and individualized long-term care alongside any therapy.

My goal isn’t to convince you that one treatment is better than another.

My goal is to help women understand how their metabolism works so they can make informed decisions with their healthcare team and build habits that support their health for years—not just weeks.

Imagine being so confident in your self worth you didn’t have to show the world

I read something before church yesterday. When you’re surrounded by waterfalls, cliffs, , waves on the ocean , serene places you gasp and aw at it. Gods creation is surely beautiful.

But what if we had that same AW when looking in the mirror? Or across the table?

With its stretch marks. Without the make up. Before the surgeries .

When we’re looking at Gods GREATEST and most beautiful creation - US- because we were made in HIS image. How dare we that we can aw at other beauty - but our very own. And that changed my perspective.

Ladies - you are BEAUTIFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE exactly how you are 💝

Your heard Him- Go and learn what this means

& the best metabolic advice I could ever give 😂💝

For my personal testimony feel free to hang out and read :

I was a burnt out healthcare provider-mom- building a virtual clinic- trying all things and preaching all the things.

When my family needed me most with healthcare conditions, I too was seeking help in all ways.

In my sorrows - I felt tugs at me to go back to church. What church? That’s another cool story. The church was speaking from the book of Matthew. Well, I never really knew how to read the bible because I never did. I started trying to read before service - so I could start understanding what it was I WAS READING!? Ya know! lol

Well I read this verse. And was like WHAT DOES THIS MEAN LORD!? Especially a caregiver , a healthcare provider, a mom, some personal healthcare scares , trauma around death
. I ended up surrendering it all moments in. Physically, emotionally, physically; spiritually. I came back downstairs and read what came after! Boom-

I was healed immediately. A sense of immense peace that’s indescribable. A moment that’s indescribable.

This isn’t saying don’t trust doctors. This is saying - Gods in control of it ALL. And I believe if it’s in His will- he uses his faithful servants to help complete that task. We not only are of death from our own sins- but that of others too. Ultimately Gods Will - will be done.

Sometimes health industry makes us feel we can control it all. đŸ€·đŸŒâ€â™€ïž

Book of Matthew / first chapter of the NewTestament - read it. Just start with sentence 1.

PSA -> it’s not a bus stop sister. 🚍

Weight loss loss has no destination.
Wellness isn’t a destination.

It’s the ride. And for women it sure does seem like a heck of a roller coaster 🎱. And I know I want off! Perimenopause is NOT FUN.

But seriously , women change throughout lifespans. That’s just how it is. I really wish women could love their bodies in all its phases 💝
