Liphakoe FC will further assess players selected on the 18th July 2026. The second and final assessment will be held at Lifefo Gound, Ha Thetsane in Maseru on the 26th July 2026

We extends our heartfelt gratitude to every player who attended our 2026 trials.

A remarkable 149 players attended the first round of trials at Lifefo Ground, Ha Thetsane on 18th July 2026, while 76 players participated in today’s assessment at Liphakoe Ground, Moyeni.

In total, 225 talented footballers answered the call to pursue their dream of wearing the famous maroon and gold of the Mighty Hawks.

Your passion for the beautiful game, commitment, discipline and determination have inspired us. Every player who stepped onto the field represented not only their football ability but also the ambition and courage to chase a dream.

Our technical team now faces the difficult responsibility of selecting only a limited number of players from an exceptionally talented group. This decision will not be easy, as the quality displayed throughout the trials has been outstanding.

To those who may not make the final squad, please remember that this is not the end of your football journey. Many successful footballers have faced setbacks before achieving their dreams. Continue to work hard, sharpen your technical and tactical abilities, improve your physical conditioning, and maintain the discipline required to succeed in football.

We strongly encourage every player to find a club where they can continue playing regularly and developing their talent. Your football journey continues, and today’s experience should serve as motivation to return even stronger when the next opportunity arises.

FAREWELL TO CAPTAIN MAPHEELLE MANOSA

Liphakoe Football Club wishes to announce that our Club Captain, Mapheelle Manosa, has completed a transfer to Lijabatho FC, bringing to a close an unforgettable chapter in the history of the Mighty Hawks. Today, we do not simply say goodbye to a player. We bid farewell to a leader, a warrior and a true servant of this great Club.

Mapheelle has epitomised what it means to wear the maroon and gold with pride. Through moments of triumph and periods of adversity, he remained unwavering in his commitment to the Club. When the Club celebrated victories, he was there leading from the front. When the Club endured difficult times, he stood firm in the trenches, inspiring his teammates through courage, resilience and determination.

As captain, Mapheelle led not only through words but, more importantly, through his actions. He set high standards of discipline, professionalism and accountability, earning the respect of teammates, coaches, supporters and opponents alike. His leadership helped shape the culture of the Club and inspired younger players to believe in the values that define us.

Mapheelle's journey with us is a remarkable one. He arrived at the Club as a young man with ambition and leaves as a respected family man whose growth has been witnessed by an entire community. His story reflects the role that football can play in shaping lives, building character and creating lifelong bonds.

Although born outside Quthing, Mapheelle embraced the people, culture and traditions of our district with remarkable sincerity. He gave everything for the badge, and over the years he became so deeply woven into the fabric of the Club that many would readily believe he was a Hawk by birth. Yet the truth is even more powerful. He became one of us through commitment, loyalty and love for the Club. He may have arrived as an adopted son of Quthing, but he leaves as one of our own.

While we are saddened to see him depart, we are equally proud to see him take the next step in his football journey with Lijabatho FC. His transfer is a testament to the quality, professionalism and character that he has consistently displayed throughout his time here.

On behalf of the Executive Committee, technical team, players, and supporters, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mapheelle for his outstanding service to the Mighty Hawks. His contribution to this Club will not be measured solely by matches played or victories achieved, but by the legacy of leadership, sacrifice and commitment that he leaves behind.

PLAYER DEPARTURE ANNOUNCEMENT

Liphakoe Football Club wishes to announce that David Mubayiwa has officially left the Club as a free agent following the expiry of his contract at the conclusion of the 2025/26 football season.

David, a Zimbabwean national, has been a valued member of the Mighty Hawks, and we sincerely thank him for his commitment, professionalism and contribution during his time with the Club. His experience and dedication on and off the pitch have been greatly appreciated, and he has been an important part of our journey.

As he embarks on the next chapter of his football career, everyone at Liphakoe Football Club extends their heartfelt gratitude and wishes him every success in his future endeavours.

PLAYER TRANSFER ANNOUNCEMENT

Liphakoe Football Club wishes to inform its members, supporters and the football fraternity that an agreement has been reached with LDF FC for the transfer of Tsepang Mohlominyane.

Tsepang has been part of the Liphakoe FC family where we have known him through his commitment and professionalism. During the 2025/26 season, he left the Club to commence his military training, marking the beginning of a new chapter in both his professional and football journey.

Following the completion of that transition, he will now continue his football career with LDF FC.

On behalf of the Executive Committee, technical team, players and our loyal supporters, we extend our sincere gratitude to Tsepang for his contribution to the Club. We are proud to have played a part of his football career and wish him every success as he embarks on this exciting new challenge.
