2024 Paris Olympian Joanie Delgaco clinched the bronze medal in the Women’s Single Sculls at the 67th Internationale Ratzeburger Ruderregatta in Germany 🇩🇪.

These are results of our national team rowing's effort who went for a massive training in Europe. Salamat sa laban, Joanie! 🙌🏻

A new chapter for Philippine rowing begins! 🚣🇵🇭

Last July 2–3, 2026, the Philippine Rowing Association marked a major milestone during the Cagayan Valley Sports & Youth Summit with the launch of the Open Academy of Rowing (OAR) Cauayan—our newest Regional Training Center—in partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission and the Local Government of Cauayan.

OAR Cauayan expands rowing’s reach beyond Metro Manila, opening more opportunities for young Filipinos to discover the sport, pursue their dreams of becoming national team athletes and Olympians, or simply enjoy rowing recreationally.

The celebration continued on July 3 with an exciting rowing demonstration that showcased the speed, teamwork, and thrill of the sport, giving the community a taste of the true rowing spirit.

This is more than the opening of a training center—it’s another step toward building the future of Philippine rowing, one stroke at a time.

ROWING TOWARDS THE FUTURE 🚣🇵🇭

The Philippine Sports Commission, together with Cauayan City and the Philippine Rowing Association, is strengthening grassroots rowing in Isabela through a new regional training center, with five-time SEA Games gold medalist Joe Rodriguez helping guide the next generation of Filipino rowers.

Congratulations to Edgar Ilas for capturing Gold in the Lightweight Men's Single Sculls at the 122nd Vienna International Rowing Regatta! 💪🚣‍♂️

Ilas delivered an outstanding performance against a competitive international field, proudly raising the Philippine flag on the top step of the podium.

This remarkable achievement is another milestone for the Philippine National Rowing Team as they continue their European training and competition campaign, showcasing Filipino excellence on the international stage.
