There's a big argument, about making a living in darts and being rewarded accordingly as we play local, regional and continental games. Attracting corporate sponsors and having better platforms for players, who also aspire to get to the highest global stages🏟️🏆

Traditionally, darts has been known to reward a higher number of players and participants compared to other sports, this is especially known with events under the PDC where rewards may stretch to the top 32 and key players may also receive a fee for appearance. Locally, we may also stretch it to the top 8 or 16 to further motivate the players to keep showing up and get better at the sport.
Pushing the mantra, sometimes we seek to democratize the game from participation to distribution of the prize pot💰 but it may translate to reduced rewards and prize money for the top 3 winners, no?

So which way darts? At the end of the day, better growth prospects, from viewership to participation and interest means more rewards, resources and fully independent careers on the oche🎯

The calm, calculating Joe Wanjohi is definitely a trick the Morans play into at the SDC games, stirring up a good play without as much as a brag or pre-match gloat, any opponent may be utterly wrong to mistake him for an underdog.

Just off of Men's awareness month on to the 2nd half of 2026, and I know we're used to the "cliche" talk it out, hug it out, it's okay to cry, take a break.....but really that could just be what you need along with the admittance that you're not okay....but also actually cares and our Wednesdays along with frequent match plays, tournaments and SDC meet ups are always a good excuse to meet up and talk over a throw or two.

The weekend in darts was one of cementing legacies, challenging rivalries and making history in the US Darts Masters🏟️🎯

From record crowds that showed up at the Madison Square Gardens to a blockbuster delivered by the Luke's to Humphries being the first player ever to defend back to back US Darts Masters titles claiming an 8-7 victory in a thrilling last-leg final against Littler. Humphries averaged 104 while Littler stunned the crowds with nine 180s in a match that swung back and forth, eventually delivering victory to Humphries in an 11-dart deciding leg.

The storyline in the Masters was just as entertaining as it was pure darting goodness and drama from Humphries comeback from the earlier match ups with GVV to get to the finals, to Littler's antics and skills on the oche albeit with a disappointing final.

Back home, we sustain our efforts in as we prep for the big one, in coming weeks, Benson Ngari aka Man of Faith gets ready to represent Kenya, East Africa and Africa at the Modus Super Series in England. Pitted to be one of the biggest platforms in global darts, Sirua is excited, upbeat and confident of a good performance by our very own, who continues to be a dominant and model player in regional circles and now on to the big leagues!!🌎🏆🎯

Tagging along a friend to a darts game is all fun and games until you have to explain the 'complicated' checkout system(especially doubles) or how your score resets to the start of the turn when it's a bust🎯
Just how, it employs a lot of strategy with some math, and it's not always about aiming for a triple 20 or the bullseye. How to conveniently set up your plays, scores, and manage pressure with strategy from start to finish.

Players like Littler have been known to set up several moves with close to seamless ex*****on and flawless finishes, albeit with slow days and shortfalls from time to time!
At the end of the day, darts is a slow climb just like any other sport, we get better by constantly putting ourselves on the oche with learning and unlearning, tweaks and adjustments, all while embracing the wins and the losses!🏆🎯
