MATIANG’I’S PLANS SCARE RUTO
Government bloggers have been attacking Dr. Fred Matiang’i every day, claiming that he should be doing more rallies, that he should stop “sleeping,” and that he is not busy
But let Kenyans ask themselves one simple question: Why would a whole government spend its time and resources attacking a candidate it considers lazy and irrelevant?
You don't attack someone you have already dismissed. You attack someone you fear, NIS had informed them how Matiang’i is preparing himself ahead of 2027
What Kenyans should understand is that Dr. Fred Matiang’i has been extremely busy not necessarily on top of vehicles or in front of cameras, but on engaging Kenyans directly
Every day, Matiang’i engages thousands of Kenyans from different sectors and walks of life professionals, traders, former leaders, teachers, boda boda riders, matatu operators, fishermen, university and college students, farmers and ordinary citizens across the country
We asked him why he chooses to engage people this way.His answer was simple:“I normally engage people in markets, but I must also listen to Kenyans one-on-one. The problems facing our country cannot be solved only from the top of a vehicle. They require deep and serious direct conversations with Kenyans from every corner , every community and every sector.”
He explained that these engagements allow him to listen directly to the people, understand their challenges and collect ideas that will eventually shape a real manifesto a manifesto developed together with Kenyans, the people he considers as his bosses
At one point, we asked him:“Boss, can we take pictures and share them online? People are attacking us, saying you are not busy.”
His response?“No. My vision is bigger than pictures. This is not a competition about who takes the most photographs. The question is how serious we are about fixing our country.”That statement tells you the difference between leadership and political showmanship
Imagine if Matiang’i were interested in publicity alone. He would be taking hundreds of pictures every day and posting them online to prove that he is busy. But his focus is different. He is listening. He is learning. He is planning. He is preparing how to lead Kenya 2027 effectively, that's why you have seen him engaging diplomats, ambassadors, Proffesionals and even leaders from various developed countries
Matiang’i believes that the foundation of transforming Kenya is understanding Kenyans first knowing what is happening in our hospitals, schools, farms, businesses, transport sector, fishing communities, universities and homes, then developing practical solutions
Not every problem can be solved through rallies. Not every conversation has to happen on top of a vehicle.Sometimes leadership means sitting down with ordinary Kenyans, listening to them and understanding their reality
That is why we should not confuse visibility with productivity.Dr. Fred Matiang’i is working day and night because he understands that governing Kenya requires proper preparation.
So, to those asking, “Where is Matiang’i?”He is with Kenyans. And perhaps that is exactly why those attacking him are becoming increasingly uncomfortable.Matiang’i is not preparing for a photo competition. He is preparing to lead Kenya
Dr. Matiang'i once told us, as we are planning to take the government 2027, we must also get prepared to lead, fix the nation and not give Kenyans excuses
If we look at Qualifications, honestly Dr.Fred Matiang’i is the most qualified Presidential Candidate who can offer solutions to challenges facing our country

2022 politicians slogan was Hustlers vs Dynasties. There was no clear agenda, no vision and no proven track record. But the Hustlers won because millions of Kenyans believed they had found someone who understood their struggles
Unfortunately, the same gentleman they trusted has made their life even harder for many Hustlers
Now, as we approach 2027, some politicians also want to introduce another divisive slogan: Majority Community vs. Minority Community. They want to win elections by dividing Kenyans along tribal lines, they are doing this because they don't want to be asked questions like What is your track record, what is your vision, what is your agenda
We will not entertain that politics anymore. Kenya is one.In 2027, it will be Politician vs Leader(Technocrat).A politician tells you what you want to hear. A leader delivers, reforms, and serves with discipline, integrity and courage
For us, that leader is Dr. Fred Matiang’i.
I know millions of Kenyans who believe in transparency, discipline, hard work, accountability and meaningful reforms will stand with Dr. Fred Matiang’i in 2027
And together, we will defeat the politics of division and elect leadership that Kenya deserves. We appreciate every politician who has also demonstrated genuine leadership. This is the time to put Kenya first and support Dr. Fred Matiang’i
We understand some Politicians whose career is only politics, fake promises and slogans are planning to unite against Matiang’i but Kenyans who believes in transparency, no-nonsense leadership, reults and discipline leadership will support Matiang'i and we will defeat them

All three have a strong national image their popularity and appeal extend beyond their traditional political bases
All three enjoy significant support among young people, especially the emerging generation of Kenyan voters
All three are principled and difficult to intimidate, they are willing to stand their ground and defend what they believe is right
All three represent a new generation of national politics none of them served in the Moi-era government
All three are nationalists, not tribalists they advocate for the interests of all Kenyans rather than only their communities
All three value unity in the opposition and are not driven by personal political greed
All three celebrate the growth of fellow opposition leaders rather than wishing to see them fail

Jubilee DPL Dr Fred Matiang’i has joined other opposition principals in signing a unity pact aimed at consolidating their forces ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Matiang’i was among the leaders who signed the Personal Unity Pledge and Coalition Unity Agreement during a meeting of the United Alternative Government at Windsor Hotel in Kiambu County on Monday, August 24, 2026.
The agreement brings together opposition figures including Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Rigathi Gachagua,Martha Karua, Justin Muturi, Eugene Wamalwa, Peter Munya, Lenny Kivuti and Omingo Magara.
Gachagua was represented at the signing by Cleophas Malala.
Under the agreement, the principals have committed themselves to remaining united and participating in a fair, transparent and credible process to select a single presidential candidate for the 2027 election.
They have further pledged to support and campaign for whoever is selected as the coalition’s presidential candidate, regardless of which principal emerges as the nominee.
The leaders also agreed not to undermine the eventual candidate, sponsor rival presidential bids or engage in actions that could fragment the coalition.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the principals said the agreement was more than a political understanding among leaders, describing it as a covenant with the people of Kenya.
“Country above self. Unity above division. Service above power,” the principals said.
The coalition said the unity pact was intended to demonstrate that opposition leaders could set aside personal ambitions, historical differences and partisan interests in pursuit of what they described as the greater national interest.
The principals acknowledged that millions of Kenyans were looking beyond individual leaders and political parties and were seeking an alternative government ahead of the 2027 polls.
They said the journey towards the election would require sacrifice, discipline, tolerance and courage, adding that they had chosen to walk the journey together.
The signing marks a significant step in efforts by the opposition figures to build a united political front and field a single presidential candidate against the Kenya Kwanza administration in the 2027 General Election.
