🏀Sara Gibson Memorial Tournament🏀

Sara Gibson found us many years ago on her visit from Meridian MS to Kitale. She believed in us and our mission. Friday would have been her 85th birthday and to honor her memory we held a basketball tournament.
We Wanted to post a little word and pictures to show you all that the kids are grateful for the opportunity and the extra special things that they received when celebrating Sara Gibson's birthday. Sara Gibson's tournament brought the children from the community and other institutions together with our children. Yes, they got to have soda and there was enough for everyone!!!
The occasion was fantastic! Thank you so very much to all who helped for funding the tournament. And Thank you to the dear people

We would like to share a praise report and celebrate that the hand of God is on Joy Center . We have been having an issue with our neighbour here at Joy Center. He has reported us to the county government, taken us to the area Chief that the children are making too much noise. Today we were defended by the Children Department and our area chief. He has been told to sell his land and relocate. We are really delighted to have won the case.

We are asking for your help. We need a bus to transport the children to school. Right now we make multiple trips starting at 5:00 am to transport small groups of children in our van. Many children arrive at the school so early they must wait in the cold at the gate until school opens. This is not safe or ideal. We also make many many trips which is expensive bc gas is so high.

Good evening. I thank you again and again for the love, prayers and support to us all at Joy Center. Today we attended a meeting prepared by our Senior Chief in Saboti constituency. The government officials appreciate the sponsors of Joy Center for building a home for orphans and destitudes children. All the government officials appreciate the staff for taking care of the children. They said they see hope for future kenya. Indeed no body is truly self-made, i remember mama Sara and Deanna and all our partners for helping us to help these precious souls at Joy Center. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for giving us a chance to do what God put into our hearts. I am humbled and thinking God for you and all our partners. Have a blessed Sunday service.

A FULL SIZED BASKETBALL COURT at Joy Center!!!We are thankful to all that helped to make this happen.

We Thank the friends of Joy Center very much for building Joy Center a basketball court because the children love it and they are enjoying it a lot. Right now we have already got very good basketball players, seven girls:
