We are still in shock at news of the sudden passing of our good friend and former ITF Developmental Officer, John Goede. The Caribbean tennis community has lost a true friend and legend.
John had an unmatched passion for the sport and was a great inspiration for the young talent in the region for many years, guiding them both off and on the court.
Always calm and measured, always offering sound insight when and where required, and always with his sharp wit and sense of humour, he will be greatly missed.
Tennis Jamaica joins others in the Caribbean tennis community, and especially those in Suriname, in wishing sincere and heartfelt condolences to Johnβs beloved family and friends. πΎππ
