The Beast of the East is back this October, taking in woodland trails, coastal paths and some of the best running on Jersey's north coast.

What I loved about Hamptonne was that it felt like much more than just a race. It was a chance to run somewhere a little different, follow a marked route, race it if you wanted to, and then hang around afterwards for tea, cake and a chat.

That’s exactly the sort of atmosphere we want these events to have.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night for Race 2 of the CaféJac Summer Trail Series.

Hamptonne was a brilliant setting for a Friday evening on the trails, and once again the atmosphere made the event. Thanks to everyone who ran, volunteered and helped make it happen, and to Jersey Heritage and the Hamptonne team for letting us use such a special venue.

We're back for the second CaféJac Summer Trail Series race this evening, and this time we're heading into the beautiful grounds and trails around Hamptonne.

The course is marked, the weather is looking good and we're ready for another Friday evening on the trails.

We’re back on the waterfront today as the series enters the business end, with every point becoming increasingly important in the battle for the team standings.
