Every military woman I coach has sent me the same screenshot this week.

The Air Force just announced PT scores will directly affect promotions. The Army just rolled out mandatory height-to-waist measurements for everyone — the old rule where an 80 in all events meant skipping the tape is gone. And the message landing across every branch right now is the same: standards aren't met, careers are on the line.

Here's what I'm watching happen from the coaching side of this.
The panic hits. And the first move is always the same — more cardio, fewer calories, a crash cut two weeks out from the test.

Double the gym sessions. Kill the carbs. White-knuckle through it until the tape comes out. Then slide right back into the cycle that put them there.

This is the pattern nobody in the military fitness space is naming out loud.

Every time standards tighten, the response is to suffer harder inside the same approach that already wasn't working. Not to question whether that approach was ever designed for a woman pulling 12-hour rotations, sleeping in four-hour windows, running on adrenaline all day, and eating whatever's within arm's reach between post and patrol.

Most of the women reaching out right now aren't undisciplined — and that's the part that keeps getting missed. They've done the challenges. They've white-knuckled through meal plans built for someone who sleeps eight hours and eats three sit-down meals.

They followed the same programming the guys on their unit run — the bootcamp-style "train twice a day, undereat" approach that was never calibrated for how a woman's body responds to that kind of stress on top of shift work.

They did the work. The work didn't work.

The clients I coach who've turned this around didn't add more training days — they cut them. Under an hour, sometimes four days a week.

They stopped pretending they'd meal-prep on two hours of sleep and started building nutrition around what they could actually eat on duty — gas station runs included. They stopped fighting their schedule and built around it.

That's the Goal Body Bundle. It takes the rotation she's actually working, the food she can actually reach, and the hours she actually has — and builds from there instead of handing her one more plan designed for someone with a 9-to-5 and a meal-prep Sunday.

These new standards are going to hit women hardest — especially postpartum, PCOS, and women whose bodies don't respond to a tape measure the way a male-pattern body does. The crash-cut panic cycle won't fix that. A system built for this life will.

A life most women avoid.

Stress, overwhelm, a career that is straight up demanding.

So, you can either fold like tissue paper or adapt to a life that isn’t going to get easier.

Mandatory OT.
Back to back calls.
Running a household.
Being in charge of others.
Calling the shots all day.

It’s not easy…but it’s YOUR LIFE.

Nothing is changing, so stop trying to fight it.

Lean into it.

Because once you do, I promise, it’s not about doing this harder.

It’s about doing things right.

I WANT YOU…to read this is you keep failing in your fitness goals.

I think most women I talk to are making it more difficult then it has to be..

In my DMs I hear this:
* I’m cutting out foods
* I joined a group fitness class
* I’m running 10 miles or more a week
* I’m working out 2x a day

And yet…
The scale hasn’t budged Your clothes still fit the same You haven’t really seen any significant body composition changes And so on.

Here’s the part nobody wants to tell you:

You’re not failing because you’re not doing enough. You’re failing because you’re doing too much of the wrong things.

More restriction. More cardio. More classes. More guilt when none of it works.

But your body doesn’t run on “more.” It runs on recovery, fuel, and consistency it can actually keep up with.

When you’re under-eating and over-training — especially on broken sleep or rotating shifts — your body fights you. Cortisol stays high. Muscle gets burned for energy. Fat loss stalls. So you push harder… and dig the hole deeper.

The women who finally see change? They do LESS, but they do it right:

✅ They eat enough protein to actually hold muscle
✅ They lift heavy 3x a week instead of running themselves into the ground
✅ They build their plan around their real life — shifts, stress, sleep and all
✅ They stop starting over every Monday

That’s it. That’s the “secret.” It’s not sexy, but it works — and the results on the next slides prove it.

The “eat less, train more” advice was NEVER built for women who work nights, rotate shifts, or serve. 🚨

If you’re running on 4 hours of sleep, slamming coffee, and still doing fasted cardio at 5am hoping the scale moves… I need you to hear this:

It’s not that you’re lazy.
It’s not that you lack discipline.
It’s that you’ve been handed a 9-to-5 plan for a life that looks nothing like 9-to-5.

When your cortisol is already maxed from broken sleep and constant stress, cutting calories and adding more training just tells your body to hold on tighter.

Stalled fat loss. Lost muscle. Wrecked hormones. Energy gone by mid-shift.

The fix isn’t more. It’s smarter:

✅ Fuel for your shift (yes, even nights)
✅ Lift heavy 3x a week — short, not soul-crushing
✅ Guard your recovery like it’s a mission

This is exactly how the women on the next slides got results — without living in the gym or starving themselves.

The problem isn’t food.

It’s your inability to manipulate it for your goals.

I know because I lived on the hamster wheel of 1200 cal diets & cutting out carbs.

All it left me on my 12 hour shifts was irritable, starving, & thinking about food.

There is a better way.

Once you learn it you can’t unlearn it….and it removes the fear behind food.

Food is fuel

Food is also 90% of results in my opinion ESPECIALLY if you are someone that works +60 hr weeks.

It’s also what you have the most control over….even when you are eating on the go.

Most women are over compacting it with silly diets, fasting and everything else in between.

I’m here to tell you that you can in fact eat how you want & still lose weight…don’t let the influencers out there brain wash you into thinking you need to follow a restricted diet…it won’t work forever or for your shifts

I know my team’s good…but dang are they good.

If you been following a program that doesn’t fit your schedule or your goals it’s probably bc it just doesn’t tell you how to adapt.

If you’re looking for something to tell you what to eat everyday and follow a boring meal plan…we ain’t it.

Because that s**t only works for the perfect life.
