Your goals don't need to be huge in scope (though it's ok if they are)! Just wanting to move a feel a bit better is a good enough reason to start.
Coach & GM at TBC Fitness (CKO Clark), Clark NJ. Client capacity is
limited to keep it personal. DM to inqui I love health & fitness.
I run 1:1 personal
training and nutrition coaching (Healthy Habits) built on joint-friendly,
movement-first principles — not chasing intensity. I own 3 kickboxing gyms in New Jersey and enjoy wroking out as often as I can. I am a bit of history nerd (especially US Civil War) as well as a big Star Wars fan!

Focus on what you can control.
We spend a lot of time worrying over things we cannot control (I am guilty of this too)!
Think about the factors you CAN control, and start from there.

40 is not the end.
When you turn 40, you may just find you are beginning your strongest years.
Smarter training is required, butgaining some more strength is very attainable.

Motivation comes & goes, so it can't be the solution all the time.
Build a simple plan & remiove decision fatigue. Then, get into a weekly rhythm.
The consistency is where the magic happens.
You don’t need to live at the gym to get results.
Most people can make real progress with just 2–3 short workouts each week — even 15–20 minutes can make a huge difference.
Small steps count. And they add up faster than you think. Start simple. Start with what you can do today.
If you don’t know how to get started, let’s chat, we’ll make a simple plan together.
Looking to make some improvements to your diet without overcomplicating it? Yes? Great, start here:
🍗PROTEIN - Are you getting enough? If not, get some more.
🥦VEGETABLES - Are you eating any vegetables? If the answer is no, it’s time to start.
💧WATER - Are you hydrating enough? If no, drink a little more.
Of course, these three will not solve everything, but they are a good place to start.

Sometimes, it's as simple as getting started.
That may be the thing that is holding you back: Your reluctance to start something new.
The 1st step doesn't have to be so scary. Take a small step, dip your toe in the water.
Or to be more specific, if you're thinking about being fitter or healthier, take a walk today. 🚶
Or add a serving of vegetables to your dinner. 🥦🥦
Then tomorrow, take another small step. All of a sudden, you are making progress!
