P3 on the podium at Val Vibrata. What a way to finish Round 4 of the ACI Campionato Italiano.

Pre-final: started P10, finished P2.
Final: started P14, finished P3.

That's the kind of recovery drive that defines a championship fight. Alfie now sits P2 in the standings, just 4 points off top spot with one round left at Viterbo, a track he knows and loves.

DAy 2 for Alfie at Val Vibrata for the ACI Camp ITA.

Heat 2 ended in a DNF after contact, which was a frustrating way to lose a race he was running well in, but in true Alfie style, he answered it straight away in heat 3, coming through to P2.

Makes for a somewhat difficult start to the day tomorrow in P10, but we know what Alfie's capable of.

Racing continues for Alfie Mair at Val Vibrata, round four of the Campionato Italiano ACI Karting.

Qualifying saw him third in his group and seventh overall, putting him into Group B for the heats. Alfie carried that pace into Friday's opening heat with a strong second place finish.

Today brings two more heats, at 11:40am UK time (12:40 Italian time) and 3:25pm UK time (16:25 Italian time), as the picture for tomorrow's prefinals and finals starts to take shape.
