The first edition of Amphibianman was holded in Lignano the 10 may 2014 and it was the first race at the world of Swimrun disputed with the individual formula. This formula, ideated by Matteo Benedetti, has been now recepted also from the World Triathlon.

Benedetti is member of the commission for the development and the regulation of this sport, inserted like activity World Triathlon during the # # Congress (holded the 18 october 2025 in Wollongong, Australia), putting itself side by side to the standard formula in couples born in Sweden.

Amphibianman is historically tied to Aquaticrunner Grado-Lignano, of which it was a qualification race from the 2014 to the 2023. In his ten years, Aquaticrunner has assigned 5 world titles and 8 italian titles, defining the world standards of the individual discipline.

Also the Amphibianman makes part of a national circuit, the FiTri Circuit Swimrun Series. This circuit, over than the inaugural stage of Lignano of the 26 april, will touch:

Bilancino (Firenze) the 7 june;

Gaggiano (Milano) the 5 july;

San Felice del Benaco (Brescia) on the Lake of Garda.
