Sono nata e cresciuta in un piccolo paese del Sud Italia, dove era importante essere tutti uguali e, soprattutto, abbronzati. Io, con la mia pelle chiarissima e gli occhi chiari, sono sempre stata "quella strana": non riuscivo ad abbronzarmi e durante l'adolescenza è stata dura, perché venivo criticata da tutti, anche da chi non conoscevo.
Poi ho iniziato a viaggiare e sono arrivata in posti dove la pelle chiara, gli occhi azzurri e il naso un po' accentuato sono tratti apprezzati. Lì ero considerata bella. Viaggiando ho capito una cosa fondamentale: la bellezza è soggettiva. Non cercate di rientrare negli standard di qualcun altro, trovate i vostri e accettatevi per quello che siete. E ricordate: quando qualcuno vi critica, quella critica dice molto più di lui che di voi. Vogliatevi bene, sempre. ✨💙🌍
I was born and raised in a small town in Southern Italy, where it was important to be all the same and, above all, tanned. With my very fair skin and light eyes, I was always "the weird one": I couldn't tan, and it was tough during my teenage years because I was criticized by everyone, even by people I didn't know.
Then I started traveling and ended up in places where fair skin, blue eyes, and a prominent nose are appreciated. There, I was considered beautiful. Traveling made me realize something fundamental: beauty is subjective. Don't try to fit into someone else's standards, find your own and accept yourself for who you are. And remember: when someone criticizes you, that criticism says much more about them than it does about you. Love yourself, always. ✨💙🌍
