📍Lecco- Unfortunately, the wildfire has now been burning for a third day. Today the wind picked up significantly, and the situation doesn’t look promising. Another helicopter has joined the firefighting operation to help battle the flames. Fingers crossed for everyone risking their lives to protect our mountains. 🙏🚁🔥

A wildfire has been burning near Lecco since yesterday. Firefighters are fighting the blaze both from the ground and from the air. The Canadair firefighting aircraft is making repeated water drops to help contain the fire.

A huge thank you and respect to all the firefighters, pilots and emergency crews risking their safety to protect people, nature and local communities. Let’s hope the fire is brought under control as soon as possible. ❤️🔥✈️

🚬 never throw cigarette butts on the ground,
🔥 don’t light fires where they’re prohibited.
