-17 Championship Organised at NGA on

With the divine blessings of His Holiness Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj and Sant Baba Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj, an Inter-School Under-17 Badminton Championship was organised at the NGA Auditorium, Rishikesh, on 29 August 2026 to mark National Sports Day.

from Rishikesh and nearby areas participated in the championship with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

The event was by Dr. Raje Singh Negi Ji, Ophthalmologist, Mr. Prateek Kalia Ji, District General Secretary, BJP Rishikesh, & Mr. Ajay Sharma Ji (GM, NEI), by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The championship was formally commenced with the collective chanting of the Gayatri Mantra.

At the ₹ , Dr. Rajnish Kumar Arora Ji, Senior Consultant, Department of Neurosurgery, Rishikesh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He presented trophies and certificates to the winners and congratulated all the participants, wishing them a bright and successful future.

Respected Dr. Suneeta Sharma Ji (Principal, NGA), and Mrs. Amritpal Dang Ji, Headmistress, welcomed and felicitated all the guests, players, coaches and supporters, and expressed their gratitude for making the event a success.

Mr. Dinesh Painuly, HOD Sports, NGA, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to His Holiness Maharaj Ji, the Principal and Headmistress ma'am, Chief Guest, Special Guests, participating schools, audience and all supporters for their valuable support in making the championship a grand success.

The championship featured competitions in Boys’ Singles, Girls’ Singles and Mixed Doubles categories. Students from NGA, AMS, Paras, DSB, DPS, FHA, GNA, M**S, HHMS, NDS, SSS, SOPS and other participating schools took part in the tournament.

It is a moment of immense pride and joy for the entire Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan Academy (NGA) family that our promising alumnus Rajesh Chandra, from the first batch of 2015, has achieved yet another significant milestone through his talent, hard work, discipline, and dedication.

Rajesh Chandra has been commissioned as an Associate NCC Officer (ANO) in the rank of Lieutenant. This achievement is not only a significant milestone in his personal journey but also a matter of great pride for the entire NGA family.

As an NCC Officer, he will now play an important role in nurturing young cadets by strengthening their personality development, discipline, leadership skills, and spirit of national service.



Following this important achievement, Rajesh Chandra visited his alma mater, Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan Academy, where he received the blessings and affection of Param Pujya Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj Ji and Pujya Sant Baba Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj Ji.

Param Pujya Maharaj Ji blessed Rajesh on his achievement, appreciated his success, and conveyed his best wishes for a bright and successful future.

On this occasion, Rajesh also met the school’s Principal Dr. Suneeta Sharma Ji, Headmistress Mrs. Amrit Pal Dang Ji, and all his respected teachers to seek their blessings.

His respect and gratitude towards his former teachers beautifully reflect that a student may move ahead in life, but the bond with his teachers, values, and alma mater remains forever.




Rajesh Chandra was the Topper of NGA’s first batch in 2015. Carrying forward the education, values, and discipline he received at NGA, he has created a distinct identity for himself in the field of education.

At present, he is serving as a Government Drawing Teacher in the Haridwar district under the Uttarakhand Education Department, where he is playing an important role in shaping the future of students.




Along with education and NCC, Rajesh Chandra has also achieved remarkable recognition in the field of Fine Arts.

His artistic talent has received international recognition, and his artworks have also been displayed at the United Nations (UN).

He has additionally participated in various national and international art events, competitions, and record-based programmes, further adding to his accomplishments.




Rajesh Chandra attributes his journey and achievements to the blessings and guidance of Param Pujya Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj Ji, Pujya Sant Baba Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj Ji, and all the respected teachers of Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan Academy.

He believes that the values, discipline, guidance, and blessings of his teachers received during his school years played a significant role in shaping his personality and determining the direction of his life.

at NGA 🇮🇳

Nirmal Ashram Gyan Daan Academy celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic spirit and enthusiasm in the blessed presence of His Holiness Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj and honourable Sant Baba Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj, and the gracious presence of our , Dr. Ji, & Head, Department of , Rishikesh.

The celebration began with flag hoisting and the National Anthem, followed by inspiring cultural performances and the powerful patriotic play “Operation Sindoor.”

Principal Dr. Suneeta Sharma Ji delivered the welcome address, remembering our freedom fighters and inspiring students to fulfil their responsibilities towards the nation. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Headmistress Mrs. Amrit Pal Dang madam, expressing gratitude to all the distinguished guests, parents, teachers and students.
