Ep 7: Decoding Our Vibration Dampening System

One of the most challenging parts of developing our mount wasn’t making it lock securely rather it was protecting your phone from vibrations.

Over the last few months, we’ve spent countless hours testing, tweaking, and retesting different dampening configurations. We started with 6 dampeners, moved to 4, and finally tested 3. Every setup was put through rigorous testing.

What surprised us was that more dampeners didn’t necessarily mean better performance. After comparing all the results, the 3-dampener configuration consistently delivered the best vibration reduction while maintaining stability and responsiveness.

This episode takes you behind the scenes of that journey, the experiments, the failures, the data, and the engineering decisions that helped us arrive at the final design.
