Quick commerce might be your competition even if you're not on quick commerce.
Not because every D2C brand needs to deliver at the same speed.
But because it's changing what customers now consider a convenient shopping experience.
And that raises a more interesting question:
If you can't compete on everything, what can you compete on?
We explored that in the carousel. π

Revenue isn't the only thing that spikes during a sale.
Order volumes increase. So do delivery delays, RTOs, courier bottlenecks, and customer queries.
The brands that win aren't just tracking sales - they're tracking the right operational metrics.
Here are 5 metrics every D2C operations team should keep an eye on before small issues become big problems. π

Weight discrepancies are the most expensive problem in Indian e-commerce that nobody talks about openly.
Every seller who ships at scale knows this feeling.
You packed the order. You weighed it. You entered the weight. You shipped it.
Then the courier's system shows a different number. You get charged the difference. You raise a dispute. You wait. You follow up. Sometimes it gets resolved. Sometimes it doesn't. And while you're dealing with that - fifty more orders are going out the door with the same problem waiting to happen.
The frustrating part isn't just the money. It's the time. The back and forth. The complete lack of visibility into where your dispute stands or when it'll be resolved.
We don't think it has to be.
Weight discrepancies can't be eliminated entirely the courier will always have their own scanning system. But what can change is how prepared you are before an order ships, how protected you are the moment something looks wrong, and how fast and transparently it gets resolved when a discrepancy does happen.
That's exactly what we've been building.
More on this soon.

We're hosting Preparing for Festive Season 2026 - a free online growth session on inventory planning, RTO reduction, and building a logistics setup that can actually handle festive-scale demand.
And we're excited to have Parth Ved, VP-Operations at Nua join us as a speaker.
Parth leads Nua's end-to-end supply chain - vendor development, planning, procurement, warehousing, and logistics, shaping the operational backbone behind the brand's growth. Before this, he spent three years in management consulting across India, Southeast Asia, and the UK, advising organisations on operational strategy and supply chain transformation.
He'll be sharing how Nua manages vendor planning, warehousing, and logistics at scale - and what it takes to keep supply chains resilient when festive-season demand spikes.

We build delivery experiences for a living.
But the ones fathers have been making for years set a pretty high benchmark.
Showing up.
Having our backs.
And somehow knowing exactly what to say when it matters.
Happy Father's Day from all of us at Shipway
