We’ve guided in Gulmarg since 2006. Our backcountry team is certified through AIARE, Avalanche Canada and the Kashmir Avalanche Association, and we’ve had zero avalanche accidents among our guided clients in that time. That’s what a great ski experience is built on — then we go find the powder.

The only bad day heli-skiing in Gulmarg is the day the chopper doesn’t fly.

Most days, it flies. They drop you above 13,000 feet on Apharwat and other mountains like Sunshines, Tosamaidan. The first turn tells you everything you need to know — powder deep enough to swallow a ski to the knee, and it doesn’t let go easy. From there it’s close to a mile of vertical down open bowls and steep chutes, guided by people who’ve been reading this mountain for years.

No lift lines. No crowds. Just you, a guide, and whichever line looks good that morning.
