What kind of boring lifestyle do you have!
Such comments can sometimes be hurtful and might stop you from achieving your goal. My clients often tell me they don't want to lose weight anymore as people around them feel they are losing the charm.
What do I tell them to do in such situations?
You ignore and keep going. It's because you are already way ahead of people making those comments. You should be the only person to decide where you want to stop.
If you want to get 6-pack abs, go and get it!
If you want to put on muscle, do that!
If you like working out for 2 hrs, continue doing that!
Your fitness goal should not be of anyone else's concern ๐๐ชโค๏ธ

A huge shoutout to my mentee for being extremely dedicated and consistent In her fitness journey. Priyanka was already doing weight training before she joined me for further weight loss.
โI have struggled myself to be consistent sometimes. We always think consistency will bring you a good result. And to do that we need constant motivation..Itโs partially true but what we actually need is a commitment.
Do you think I have never gained back some weight that I had shaded earlier? Have I stopped doing yoga or daily exercises and answer is YES.. sometime I have been through that.. I am not motivated everyday.. I feel lazy and donโt feel like getting out of bed.. There are bad days and there is so much to manage sometimes than I can handleโฆ But commitment is something that gets me back on my track..
The excuses I hear from people for not doing exercise or following proper diet are:
I have done this before and it doesnโt work..
I donโt have time..
I am overwhelmed with my kids and household works..
I am not motivated.. I feel lazy..
Letโs do this next day/week/month(which never comes)โฆ
I have wedding/functions at home..
I donโt want to sweatโฆ
Self pityโฆ
Trust me you are not alone in this.. We all go through this.. You have to pick yourself when things get hard.. We need a plan which is realistic and the ones that we can commit to..
Following things you can do;
*Have smaller goals
*increase your daily activity by exercising at-least 3-4days a week
*Have adequate rest
*Drink plenty of water.. Avoid drinking calories..
*Restrict fried/junk food.. Minimise use of processed foods..
*To say no to things that donโt help you
Lastly, remember we cannot become what we want by remaining what we are! Time is precious, use it wiselyโฆ

Last month, I was promoted to the advance+ category, but I deferred it as I felt the time wasnโt right. I was on a weekโs break from work after my fatherโs demise (last week of December), and I wasnโt ready for the change soon after joining. I resumed my work on Jan 1st, almost felt like I was starting everything from scratch. I took my time to get back to my normal working pace gradually. Finally, I feel I am ready for the change, and I can do justice to my promotion.
I am glad to inform you that I will be promoted to the Advance + category from February 2022. I spent 2.5 years in the Advance category out of my 5+ years journey with Fittr, and it has been my best learning experience as a coach. ๐

Progress is not being better than what you were a year back. Progress is being better than yesterday!!
Falling off track is common and getting back is uncommon. Many people fall off the wagon and struggle to make a comeback. Circumstances would keep changing in life, and so would be your consistency. Don't waste time thinking about why you aren't as consistent as you were last time you lost weight.
๐๐ปCan't manage a 6-day/week workout? Try to make it for 3-4 days/week.
๐๐ปCan't quantify your food before cooking? Quantify cooked food and try to become more accurate in your estimations.
๐๐ปCan't walk 10k steps that you were doing earlier? Do 5k
Don't beat yourself for things you aren't able to do; appreciate yourself for the gradual efforts you are currently putting into improving.
Going 0->30->50->100 is more accessible than directly jumping 0->100 ๐โค๏ธ

How To Choose Clothes For Clicking Progress Pictures?๐๐๐ป
Clicking progress pics is one the best ways to compare physique progress over time, and wearing the right clothing is of utmost importance.
๐Type of clothes: prefer sportswear to casual wear as they give an overall better idea about your overall physique ๐
๐Fit: opt for properly fitted clothes, as it gets difficult to analyze fat distribution in loose clothes๐ฉฑ๐
๐Type of sportswear: You can opt for a fitted tank top/t-shirt and leggings until you can compare your progress. It would help if you gradually opt for a sports bra/bikini top with leggings/shorts/bikini bottom, as it would be difficult to assess the progress when you are getting leaner. You can also opt for the latter option from the beginning as per your comfort level.๐๐ฉฑ๐ฉฒ๐

Many of my mentees ask if they can replace chicken with paneer as they can't eat chicken every day. Many people don't also wish to consume soya chunks or tofu. I take a call according to their goal. I might not recommend substituting chicken with paneer for an athlete and would stick to matching protein and calories. Someone who's merely looking for a lifestyle change can surely do such substitutions to make dieting more sustainable.
I like to substitute chicken with soya chunks, tofu and whey on my veg days. What's your favourite chicken substitute?๐

Dear papa,
I have seen you as a calm, composed and always smiling person since the day I can recall.
Life wasn't easy for our family after your accident in 2018. It was heartbreaking to witness you struggling in many aspects after, but we adapted to the "new normal" and stayed strong in difficult times. We kept trying to make it better for you till the very last moment, but destiny had something else for us.
I would miss our never-ending little fights, your lame jokes, your ever-supporting attitude, the team we used to make against mummy during fights. The last few months were extremely painful to see your health deteriorate. I always kept asking God why this happened to the person who has always been nice to others, why papa suffered all this pain, and I can still not adjust to the fact that I will never be able to see you again. I hope you are in a better place. You strongly fought a tough battle in the last ~4 years
