Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, founded in 1997, has been working to empower people with disabilities, particularly those with visual and physical disabilities and the underprivileged. Samarthanam strives to build an inclusive society free from discrimination and inequity, through its initiatives and projects aimed to serve the society. Samarthanam offers a range of services in the fields of education, skill development, sports, arts & culture, health & nutrition and rehabilitation for the disabled.
Headquartered in Bengaluru, we have our presence in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Kochi, Jharkhand and New Delhi. The Delhi center running a project as a Livelihood Resource Center (LRC) provides the disabled with basic skill based livelihood training and employment opportunities. The LRC delivers technical and sector based skill training to youth with disabilities. Training classes include basic computer literacy, communication skills and soft skills. The training, food and accommodation is provided free of cost and post training, the candidates are provided with placement and post placement support.
At 11:00 am on 28th Jan-2020 Delhi LRC has inaugurated its new batch with #31 fresh (male / female ) candidates came all across India and this inauguration was graced by
Mr Rajeev Saksena Dy Director Social Welfare Delhi
along with Mr Ranbir Tanwar representative of South Delhi Municipal Corporation Ms Anita Tanwar,Mr Premnath Gupta, Local member Resident Welfare Association-RWA, Dr Ajit and their team from AIIMS Delhi and Mr Peethamparam ji as a Delhi center mentor who blessed the training candidates over their course and distributed student KIT for their training at this inauguration program and Dr Ajit and their team as done assessment as for Eyes and checked the Dental problems of all the candidates present today, the great efforts was to issue the Railway Concession Certificate to needy candidates which was issued hand to hand to many candidates. There was song performance by candidates along with good speech over the disability and its causes which was truly based on their personal experience. This all event was coordinated through Mr Sonu Bhola center head Samarthanam Trust for Disabled.
