Ayomal Akalanka clocked a sensational timing of 49.03sec to win the Silver Medal in 400m Hurdles at the Asian U23 Athletics Championship and set a new national record.
He surpassed the record of Harijan Rathnayake who set 26 years ago at the Jakartha Asian Championship clocking 49.44sec.
