Bat. Ball. Base. This weekend, T-Ball rolls into Ready Steady Go Kids at Eurokids Perumbakkam.

For the next two months, our little athletes get to swing, hit off the tee, and run the bases, building hand-eye coordination, balance, and timing along the way. It's one of the 13 sports in our physio-designed program, built specifically for kids aged 1.5 to 7.

What we love about T-Ball is how much it teaches without kids even noticing. Judging distance. Reacting fast. Waiting their turn. Cheering for a teammate who just hit their first ball off the tee. All wrapped up in a game that's genuinely fun to play.

If your child hasn't tried a session with us yet, this is a great sport to start with. Book a free trial, come watch a session, or just walk up and say hi.

Two extra hours of screen time avoided every week is nice. But what your child actually gets from Ready Steady Go Kids is bigger than that.

We built this program with physiotherapists, not just coaches. That's the difference. Every session at our Perumbakkam centre is designed around how a child's body actually develops between 1.5 and 7: balance first, then coordination, then real sport-specific skill.

13 sports across the year means your child never gets bored and never gets stuck doing just one thing before they're ready for it. Football today, T-Ball next rotation, and along the way, the running, jumping, throwing, and catching that everything else in life builds on.

Our coaches are good at sport, and even better with kids. That's rarer than it sounds.

Six people in a circle. Zero worry about who's winning.

That's rings-a-roses on our Perumbakkam turf this week, and it says more about what RSGK actually does than any brochure could. Our coach is in the same circle as a parent and four kids, hands linked, everyone barefoot on the grass, laughing at nothing in particular. No drills. No "good job, now do it again." Just a game and a parent who couldn't resist joining in.

Here's the thing about 13 sports and four years of physio-backed design β€” none of it works if the kid isn't having a blast. So we build every session around play first, skill second. A two-year-old chasing a ball and a six-year-old learning to time a catch both need the same thing before anything else: to want to be there.

This is what listening looks like at 3 years old.

One instruction from the coach. Watch how fast the whole group moves together.

That's the RSGK method β€” physiotherapist-built, Australian-designed, and it shows up in moments like this one.

Not every 2-year-old and 6-year-old should be doing the same drill. That's the whole idea behind how we structure classes at Ready Steady Go Kids, Perumbakkam.

We split kids into four stages as they grow:

GET READY β€” the youngest ones start here, building basic motor skills through play. No pressure, no structure, just movement.

READY β€” kids start working on listening, taking turns, and following instructions alongside their motor skills.

STEADY β€” now we go deeper into the actual sport of the month, building real technique.

GO β€” the advanced stage. Faster pace, harder drills, kids pushing to actually master what they've learned.

Same 13 sports, same rotation, but the way we teach changes completely based on where your child is. A 2-year-old and a 6-year-old walk away having learned very different things from the same session.

Every time your child falls off a balance beam and climbs back on, something important is happening in their brain.

Physical play is one of the first places children practise resilience. When a toddler tries to throw a ball and misses, attempts a hop and topples over, or tries to balance and falls, their brain isn't just learning sport. It's rehearsing how to cope with failure and keep going.

Research in early childhood development consistently finds that children who get regular active play in their first five years show stronger emotional regulation as they grow. They handle frustration better. They recover from setbacks faster. They're more willing to try difficult things.

This happens not because sport makes kids tough, but because movement provides a safe environment to face small challenges and discover they can get back up.

At RSGK, every class is designed with this in mind. Drills are chosen to stretch children just enough, with coaches keeping the atmosphere light and encouraging. The goal isn't to win. It's about trying, failing, and trying again.

Has your child surprised you recently by pushing through something they nearly gave up on?

Sessions run on weekdays and weekends. If you'd like your little one to give it a try, send a WhatsApp to 8591612238. The first class is completely free.

Little legs, big focus. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

This obstacle circuit does more than tire the kids out β€” hurdles build coordination, hoops build aim, and cones build spatial awareness. All before age 7, all through play.

That's the whole idea behind Ready Steady Go Kids: real physical development wrapped in games kids actually want to play.

Gross motor skills aren't just about running faster or climbing higher. They shape how a child holds a pencil, sits without slouching, ties a shoe, or catches a ball without flinching.

Kids build this stuff through repetition β€” jumping, balancing, twisting, crawling. Not once in a while. Regularly, in a structured way.

That's what RSGK does. An Australian multi-sport program for kids 1.5 to 7, now running at Eurokids Perumbakkam.

That's not just a bunch of cones on the ground. It's a full workout for a toddler's brain.

Every gap they run through, every turn they make without stopping β€” that's balance, spatial awareness, and reaction time getting built rep by rep. Our physios design these setups on purpose.

Nothing here is random.

This is what a session at RSGK Perumbakkam looks like. Kids as young as 1.5 years old are moving, laughing, and building real motor skills without knowing they're "training."
