Asamyutha hastas (or Asamyuta mudras) are the 28 foundational single-hand gestures defined in the classical Indian dance text, Abhinaya Darpana.
In forms like Bharatanatyam, these dynamic gestures tell stories by representing specific objects, emotions, or actions, serving as a vast visual dictionary for the dancer.
