Bike Day — Dinesh 🚲

Dinesh rides a bike in Mysore, and his cycling journey goes way back.

His previous bike was an impulse purchase about 13 years ago — but, as his fitness & nutrition expert wife puts it, it quickly became his “second wife.” 😄

13 years later, he’s upgrading that relationship with a shiny new Merida Crossway!

Super excited to see where this next chapter takes you, Dinesh. Here’s to many more kilometres, adventures and two-wheeled memories. 🚴‍♂️

Welcome to the BUMSONTHESADDLE family! ❤️

A sexy red Cannondale Synapse Carbon. A beautifully made pair of white FLR FNT-9s. And a bike fit in progress.

Modern road bikes are getting faster, lighter and more performance-focused - designed around aggressive positions, longer reaches and riders who want to push the limits of performance.

But not every rider wants to chase podiums.

Some of us simply want to ride a really good bike. Ride far. Ride often. Enjoy the speed, the handling and the quality of a great machine — without having to fold ourselves into an aggressive race position.

That’s where a good bike fit matters.

Because performance isn’t just about how fast the bike can go.

It’s about how good it feels when you’re on it.

There’s always been a blackboard wall at our bike shops.

Not because we had something to sell.
Not because we needed another place for a poster.

But because cycling deserves a little space to breathe.

Over the years, these boards have carried ride routes, race times, workshop notes, random thoughts, good&bad drawings, and the occasional piece of cycling wisdom.

Today’s board says it pretty well:
NO GPS.
NO PLANS.
NO MAPS.
NO RULES.
JUST RIDE. 🚲

Because sometimes, that’s exactly what cycling is about.

Cycling is freedom. 🇮🇳

Owning a new bike is exciting.

But knowing how to use it, look after it and ride it confidently is what really makes the experience better.

That’s why we run Cycling 101 — our workshop designed to help new cyclists get comfortable with their bikes and enjoy riding from day one.

And before we teach riders, we teach our own teams.

We recently ran a mock Cycling 101 session with our warehouse team — taking them through the workshop, practising how we explain the basics, answering questions and working on how we can make the experience even better for every rider who walks through our doors.

Because when you’re packing, handling and delivering bikes every day, you should know what it takes to help someone start their cycling journey too. 🚲

So, what happens at Cycling 101?

🔧 Get to know your bike
Understand the key parts, controls and essential safety checks.

🛠️ Learn the basics of bike care
Simple things you can do to keep your bike running well.

🚴 Ride with more confidence
Essential riding skills, safety tips and practical know-how for new cyclists.

🎓 No prior knowledge. No tools. Just come ready to learn.

Whether you’ve just bought your first bike or you’re still figuring out everything your bike can do, Cycling 101 is built to help you KNOW. CARE. RIDE.

We’re opening up upcoming Cycling 101 batches through December, so there’s plenty of opportunity to join us.

Because buying the bike is just the beginning.

Let’s help you make the most of it.

🇮🇳 ONE NATION. ONE RIDE. ONE MAP 🚴‍
What a ride it was!

Around 300 riders set out on Independence Day with Bengaluru Cycling Club (Bengaluru Cycling Club ®) to do something wonderfully simple and wonderfully crazy — ride through Bengaluru and draw India on their GPS 🇮🇳🗺️

And somewhere around the 50 km mark, BUMSONTHESADDLE became a little pit stop for the community.

We had peanut butter sandwiches from PeelsNutButter, Fast&Up India Reload for electrolytes, bananas, filter coffee, plenty of water and bathroom facilities — everything riders needed to pause, refuel, recharge and head out for the final stretch. ❤️

And it was amazing to watch Strava light up with India maps.

A huge shoutout to Bengaluru Cycling Club for bringing this idea to life, and to every single rider who showed up and made the map come alive. 🇮🇳

Community first. Always. ❤️

🇮🇳 ONE NATION. ONE RIDE. ONE MAP. 🚴‍♂️❤️‍🔥

Some rides are about the distance.
Some are about the destination.
And then there are rides that are simply about being part of something bigger.

Tomorrow, over 400 cyclists from across Bengaluru will come together with our friends at Bengaluru Cycling Club (BCC) to celebrate Independence Day in a truly unique way — by riding a route that draws India on their GPS! 🇮🇳🗺️

Around 76 km.
One incredible city.
Hundreds of riders.
One shared love for cycling and our country.

We’ve always believed that cycling is about much more than bikes. It’s about the people you meet, the roads you share, the encouragement you give each other, and the community that keeps showing up.

That’s what makes Bengaluru’s cycling community so special. And BCC has been such an important part of building that community — bringing riders together, creating experiences and giving us all more reasons to get out and ride.

We’re incredibly proud to be a small part of this ride and to support the community that has given us so much over the years. ❤️

To everyone riding tomorrow — ride safe, follow the route, look out for each other, and most importantly, enjoy the ride.

Let’s draw India together. 🇮🇳

Jai Hind! ❤️‍🔥

Kush Patel chose a Trek as the bike to begin his triathlon journey. But choosing the right bike is only half the story.

A bike fit is what transforms a good bike into your bike. It improves comfort, efficiency, power transfer, and reduces the risk of injury—helping you ride longer, faster, and with more confidence.

Every bike purchase includes a bike fit at BUMSONTHESADDLE. We make sure your bike is set up specifically for your body, and your riding goals, so you’re ready to enjoy the ride 🚴‍♂️
