Bandipora Ju-Jitsu Association Shines with 12 Medals at 9th UT Ju-Jitsu Championship 2024-25 in Jammu

The Ju-Jitsu Association of Bandipora has made the district proud by securing a remarkable total of 12 medals at the 9th UT Ju-Jitsu Championship 2024-25 held at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.

The championship, which saw participation from athletes across the Union Territory, concluded with Bandipora's team winning 9 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medals and selected for the upcoming Ju-jitsu national championship.
The outstanding performance has brought accolades to the district and highlighted the growing talent in martial arts from the region.

The Bandipora team stood out for their technical skills, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The medalists were felicitated by officials and dignitaries at the closing ceremony, with promises of further support and development of Ju-Jitsu in the district bandipora

"Today, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, along with the Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Bandipora, felicitated the talented athletes of Yameen Sports Academy in a special event organized to recognize their achievements in the field of martial arts. The athletes were honored for their remarkable participation and outstanding performances in various martial arts competitions at the state, national, and international levels, where they brought pride to the district by securing multiple medals.

The contribution of the academy’s dedicated coaches, Mr. Muzaffar and Mr. Ibrahim Bhat, was also acknowledged during the event. Their relentless efforts, guidance, and commitment to nurturing young talent have played a significant role in the success of these athletes. The administration appreciated the hard work of both the athletes and coaches, and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in the future.

The ceremony served as an inspiration to the youth of Bandipora and highlighted the importance of sports in shaping disciplined, focused, and confident individuals."

*2nd District Bandipora Rope Skipping Championship Concludes with Enthusiastic Participation*

Bandipora:- The two-day 2nd District Bandipora Rope Skipping Championship concluded on a thrilling note, showcasing the remarkable skills and talent of young athletes from various schools across Bandipora. The championship, which witnessed a tremendous response, featured over 250 enthusiastic participants from different schools and clubs in the district.

The championship was orginsed by the District Rope Skipping Association of Bandipora and organized at Emergent School of Modern Education in Quilmuqam, the event brought together athletes to compete in various rope-skipping categories. The participants displayed exceptional discipline, strength, and agility, leaving spectators in awe throughout the event.

The function was graced by notable dignitaries, including Prof. Mr. Ismail Ashna, Mr. Majid, Principal of HSS Quilmuqam, Ms. Mubeena G, mother of two-time international player Malik Sabkat, Mr. Ishfaq, Chairman of Emergent School of Modern Education, and Mr. Muzaffar Ahmad, General Secretary of the Rope Skipping Association of Bandipora.

The championship was chaired by Mr. Ibrahim, Organizing Secretary, and Ms. Sabkat Malik, a two-time international player and Technical Director of the Rope Skipping Association of Bandipora, who also contributed to the event's success.
