๐Ÿ NATIONAL SERIES COMPLETE! ๐Ÿ

A huge congratulations to Carrie, Fiona and Conor, who completed their 2026 Triathlon Ireland National Series campaigns at Dublin City Triathlon! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

The National Series rewards consistency across the season, requiring athletes to complete four qualifying races - and all three can now proudly say: job done! ๐Ÿ™Œ

A fantastic achievement after months of training, racing and travelling. Well done, Carrie, Fiona and Conor - time to enjoy that finish-line feeling! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

What a morning for the Wicklow Tri ladies! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

As part of Women in Sport Outdoor Week, our women came together in Newcastle for a relaxed 5km social run, followed by a very welcome sauna, whirlpool bath and cold dips at Shamrock Saunas, finished off with home baked treats and coffees ๐Ÿ’› ๐Ÿ’™

All paces, plenty of chats, lots of laughs and a gorgeous morning spent enjoying the outdoors together - the social side of sport at its very best!

A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us and helped organise the morning, and to Triathlon Ireland for supporting this fantastic event. Hereโ€™s to many more Wicklow Tri ladiesโ€™ days! ๐Ÿ™Œ

A brilliant day of National Series racing for the Wicklow crew at Westport Triathlon! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Huge congratulations to Joanne Cummins, Moira Gunn, Helen Mullarkey, Tom Downes and Hugh Prendergast, who all took on the Olympic-distance course and produced fantastic performances. Great racing and plenty of Wicklow spirit from start to finish! ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

And what a performance from Joanne! ๐Ÿ”ฅ An incredible 6th female overall and 2nd in her age group in 2:20:40 - right up at the sharp end of a strong National Series field. She is getting stronger with every race in her first season back, and this was another seriously impressive result! ๐Ÿ‘

Moira also claimed a brilliant 2nd place in her age group in 2:50:27 as she continues her return from injury, while Tom secured an excellent top-10 age-group finish in a very competitive field.

Fantastic racing from the entire team! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช WORLD UNIVERSITY CHAMPIONSHIPS ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

A huge congratulations to Wicklow Triโ€™s Archie Bremner, who represented Ireland at the 2026 FISU World University Triathlon Championships in Nyon, Switzerland, this weekend! ๐ŸŒ

The championships brought together 150 of the worldโ€™s leading student triathletes from 32 countries. Saturdayโ€™s individual sprint-distance race featured a 750m swim, 21km bike and 5km run.

Archie finished an excellent 36th overall and was the first Irish male athlete home. After a fiercely physical swim, he narrowly missed the leading bike groups. Undeterred, Archie drove the chase and helped bring his group back into contention, recording the 10th-fastest bike split of the entire field, just 13 seconds off the quickest time! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ

He was back racing again today as part of Irelandโ€™s mixed team relay, with each athlete completing a super-sprint 250m swim, 6km bike and 1.8km run.

A brilliant performance on the world stage and a very proud weekend for Archie, his family and everyone at Wicklow Tri Club! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™
