In October 2018 our world was turned upside-down when Harry, who was just five at the time was diagnosed with
Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Avril
Harry(8)was diagnosed with Lymphoma in Oct'18.As he nears end of treatment we are planning a Golf Classic & Soccer Blitz to raise funds for: CMRF*UHW Paeds Unit*ParkRangers FC*Save the Date 2.10.21*Subject to public health advice ALL is a childhood cancer that affects about 30 kids in Ireland every year. He was diagnosed here in Waterford by the excellent team in UHW and we were transferred withou
t delay to the extraordinary Haem/Onc Team in St. John's Ward at CHI Crumlin. Suddenly life changed for our family. Long spells in hospital in Waterford and Crumlin, away from his twin brother were tough for Harry. There were too many needles, daily chemotherapy, chest
tubes, nasal tubes, anesthetics and theatre trips were all part of everyday life. At the
same time we had to take so much from him, football, school, swimming, all the stuff
the two boys loved to do together. There were tough days, but we all tried to focus
on the better days. One of the brightest days was when he returned to football, under the watchful eye
of his Dad Dean and the other coaches. It was a real turning point for him, a return his
brother's side on the pitch, the desire to simply be "the same". After about a 5
second stare at his beautiful bald head, and his tubes the other kids just passed the
ball to him and got on with the game. We have been blessed with the care and attention that Harry has received along his
journey, which we will hopefully conclude in January 2022. Much of his success is
down to remaining active, being positive and staying connected to friends, activities and school
So we would like to, in some way, thank those that supported our family. Those that
have made this journey a little easier and showed our son, our family what kindness,
and community really looks like.

We would like to propose to run a day of sporting fun to raise vital funds for the four
organisations that have had a profound impact on our family. We propose an under age Football Blitz "Harry's Game" be played in Park Rangers
on Saturday 2nd of October. On that same day, just a few hundred yards from Park Rangers, we will host a "Harry's Game" Golf Classic at the award winning Faithlegg Golf Club. We are planning a very exciting days golf, with great food, fun and some amazing prizes to play for. We feel with the support and cooperation from family, friends, community and
business contacts, we can raise a significant sum, which can be donated to each
group, in Harry's name. We have set ourselves an ambitious target. We would like to show our gratitude and admiration for the following groups and make a donation to each:
