KIDS BJJ CLASSES ARE COMING TO GAEL GRAPPLE ACADEMY!

We’re opening our new Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for children aged 8–12 years old.

BJJ is a great way for kids to:
• Build confidence and self-belief
• Improve focus, discipline & patience
• Develop fitness, coordination & movement
• Learn practical grappling skills
• Make new friends and become part of a team
• Learn in a safe, supportive environment

📅 Starting: 20th October
📍 Gael Grapple Academy, Tipperary Town, E34 XR64
👊 Ages: 8–12

Gael Grapple Academy’s first time out at an MMA event National MMA League

Fionn Wright was up first and took home silver after competing up a weight class and against a tough opponent from an always game gym.

Shane Fryday took gold later in the day and also competing a weight class up. After a good back-and-forth fight, he eventually got the standing TKO to take the win.

A great experience overall for everyone involved, and only the beginning for these two lads 👊

NEW TIMETABLE!!

We’re excited to finally have Teens Classes officially added to the timetable! 🎉

Teens classes will run every Tuesday & Thursday at 5pm.

We’ve also made a few changes to the timetable:

• Tuesday morning class – this class will no longer be running.
• Wrestling – our dedicated freestyle wrestling class has been removed from the timetable. However, wrestling will now be integrated much more into our BJJ & MMA classes, giving you more opportunities to develop your wrestling alongside your grappling and striking.
• Striking Only Classes 🥊 – we’ve added dedicated striking sessions for anyone who wants to focus solely on their stand-up skills.

We’re really excited about these changes and what they’ll bring to the academy.

🚨 Teens Classes Coming to Gael Grapple Academy! 🚨

Due to the continued growth and success of the academy, we’re excited to announce the launch of our teens classes, starting on the 25th of August.

Our teen classes will begin with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) classes, focusing on confidence, discipline, fitness, and self-defence in a positive and supportive environment. As the programme develops, we also plan to introduce striking classes.

If you’d like more information or would like to register your interest, feel free to leave a comment or send us a DM.

We can’t wait to help develop the next generation of martial artists at Gael Grapple Academy.

✞ James 𓆙 finished the -85kg division with two submission victories, only losing by points to the eventual gold medallist.

You couldn’t ask for a better performance from James, especially considering this was his first competition after just three months of training.

James also stepped up to compete in the open weight division. After a much closer match in the rematch, he was once again narrowly beaten by the same opponent, who went on to win gold in both the -85kg division and the open weight division.

An incredible debut and a great sign of what’s to come. 👏
