Trisha and Tarun had a great conversation with him about what chess means to them and the rapid growth of the chess scene here in Ireland. We were also delighted to be joined by Curragh Chess Club veteran, Retired Garda - Michael O'Connell.

We really appreciated him taking the time to visit and to congratulate Trisha on becoming Ireland’s first Woman Grandmaster.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share our vision for promoting and spreading chess across Laois and throughout the country. We are incredibly grateful for his genuine interest in supporting our efforts to grow the game in the country.
