Hard luck to our lads this evening as Inny Shamrocks came up just short against Tyrrellspass GAA Football Club in Ballynacargy, losing by only a few points. A huge effort from every player right to the final whistle β plenty of positives to build on.
A massive congratulations to our Leaving Cert stars today. Some brilliant results to celebrate, so while the football didn't quite go to plan, there's plenty of reason to smile tonight. Enjoy the celebrations, lads... you've earned them! (We'll worry about the football again tomorrow! π) π΅βͺπ‘

Inny Shamrock under 14s travelled to Ballymore this evening to take on Millmore Gaels in the penultimate round of the under 14 championship. With Inny having narrowly won the home fixture last month, the away fixture was always going to be a tight affair and both teams enjoyed purple patches during the game. With the sides level at half time, a goal for Millmore early in the second half seemed to be enough to win it. However, despite missing numerous frees, the Inny lads dug deep and kicked five second half points to win by the narrowest of margins.
Well done players and coaches! π‘βͺπ΅

Our Inny Shamrock under 16s played their final championship group game this evening when they faced Tubberclair on a damp pitch in Ballinacargy. Inny started the game extremely well and dominated possession and scoring for the first 10 minutes before Tubberclair GAA got to grips with the damp conditions and rattled in a goal and a point to leave the half time score at 2.7 to 1.1.
The second half was unfortunately marred by a wrist injury to our corner forward Thomas Cafferky. After a lengthy stoppage, our Inny lads grafted hard to break down a very well drilled Tubberclair defence to come out on top on a scoreline of 2.11 to 1.4.
We would like to offer our best wishes to Thomas in his recovery and thank the Tubberclair coaches for the first aid assistance that came from their dugout also.
The lads have now qualified for the knockout stages in the coming weeks. Well done all! π‘π΅βͺ

π Great evening of football out at Inny Shamrocks tonight! π
Faced a strong Lilliput side and it was exactly the kind of tough, competitive game that brings out the best in our young players. Brilliant to see such a big turnout of our U10s getting game time and showing us all a real glimpse of the future of the club.
Thanks as always to the parents for the support on the sideline, and to Lilliput for a great contest. More of the same next week! πͺβ½π

Congratulations to Inny Shamrock under 14s who travelled to Tyrrellspass GAA Football Club this evening and recorded a terrific win over the home team. Having met earlier in the championship when the 'Pass won by a single point, our lads were quicker out of the blocks this evening to lead by 2.3 to 1.2 at the break. Some hard running at the home defence resulted in three quick goals at the start of the second half with our lads running out victorious on a score of 5.6 to 1.9. Well done players and coaches and many thanks to Tyrrellspass for a great game played in good spirits. ππ€π
