RWE Returns as Title Sponsor of Mayo Mayhem 2026
We are delighted to announce that RWE will return as the title sponsor of Mayo Mayhem 2026 for a Third consecutive year.
RWE's continued support enables Mayo Mayhem to retain its prestigious 3-Star World Tour status, helping to attract top international windsurfers to Belmullet, County Mayo, this September while enhancing prize funds and world-class media coverage.
The partnership reflects the strong connection between windsurfing and renewable wind energy, with both organisations sharing a commitment to harnessing the power of the wind and promoting a more sustainable future.
A special thank you to Peter Lefroy and Cliona O'Sullivan and the entire RWE team for their continued support. We look forward to welcoming competitors, spectators and volunteers to what promises to be another outstanding Mayo Mayhem. For more information, visit www.mayomayhem.ie.

Call me old school, but I still love a good old-fashioned poster. And this year? I couldn't pick just one, so I went with both. 🔥
Using Maco’s Photos , we pulled together the best shots from last year's event at Mulranny . And this time round, Katie McAnena and Paddy Bucky stepped up with incredible action shots for this year's poster.
Fingers crossed the wind gods are as good to us as they were last year! 🌬️
Right now it's all calm... but that's about to change fast. Time to gear up for the storm that's rolling in.
MAYO MAYHEM '26 IS COMING.
BE READY. 💥

Here is a great read from windsurf magazine featuring our very own Julius Byrne and his recent adventures to Maui competing at the PWA -WWT Maui 5 star event. A great insight to what it takes to attend this event.

A quick update from Paul Gordon, who won a free week’s rental with Godzilla Surf Shop - School - Rental Centre after scooping the prize in last year’s Mayo Mayhem raffle.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Godzilla Surf Shop - School - Rental Centre for their fantastic continued support of Mayo Mayhem. If you’re heading over to Tenerife this summer, be sure to rent all your gear from them.
And if you’re looking to take your windsurfing to the next level, give Colin “Whippy” Dixon a shout while you’re there for top-class clinics or one-to-one coaching.
Now, a few words from Paul who is just back from his trip
“A big thank you to all the staff at Godzilla Surf Shop - School - Rental Centre in El Médano, Tenerife, and for their continued support of the Mayo Mayhem windsurfing wave sailing competition. The rental equipment was top-notch — Goya and Quatro windsurfing gear, with every board and sail size available to suit all conditions.
I was delighted to win a week’s rental at the centre, and I’m already planning my next trip back. Thanks again, guys.” 🫶
