Local fishing club keeping you up to date on our outtings and activities. Lough Swilly is a fjiord in the northermost tip of Ireland. We are a competition club.

It is one of Ireland three fjiords after Carlingford Lough and Killary harbour. Here we have some of the best fishing in central europe. The amount of species capable of being caught is unprecedented anywhere else in Europe. We go after species meaning our tackle is fine and light as opposed to normal deep sea fishing where the tackle can tow a car. Our members are veterans of species hunting mean

Well what a day today was. We had organised a species day to take a break from the more serious side of fishing and add a bit of fun and pleasure to it With the weather window being ideal we decided to head to the blue mouth mark off shore. It didnt dissapoint with everyone getting them and some getting multiples and one angler having seven. 19 varieties in total was managed with Chris Tickner having the most on 14.
Species caught included Po***ck,Coalfish, Ling, Cod, Whiting, Red Grey and Tub Gurnards, Ballan and cuckoo wrasse, Pouting, Poorcod, Dabs, Dogfish, Megrim, Bluemouths, Scad, Mackerel and Launce. Thanks to Paul from Saoira Mara Charters for the day out. We will all be back๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
