19 years. Gone like a snap of the fingers. For a kid searching for somewhere to fit in his entire life, Ireland certainly welcomed me in and helped me become who I am today. Grateful for it all. For all the texts and calls and messages and well wishes, thank you all, so much. I’ve tried to avoid the sad goodbye parties because there is nothing sad. I was here, and I did what I was meant to do here, and now it’s time for me to go back where it all started. It’s funny, though, I’ll get back to Virginia and tell people all about the home I left here in Ireland. I’m better for having been here. I hope that I’ve left places here better than when I arrived. It’s not the end of my time fully in Ireland, but it is the end of a pretty big chapter. What an adventure that was! The biggest lesson is that I am built for the chaos, the hard parts, and I’ll figure my way through it all. And my gift is to bestow that belief on anyone in my circle—the belief that you, too, can do the hard s**t! Thank you, Ireland. I’m going home to see my mama now!😍

Everything is happening so fast that I didn’t even take a second to just sit and celebrate my girl Leeloo’s 12th birthday yesterday! Our relationship has been rocky as we try to figure out who we are in each other’s lives, but one thing that is for certain is that she had made my life and her sisters ( yes, plural) so much better and FUN. I love you to the moon and back and will miss YOU, individually and not just as a part of the collective, so so much❤️ Happiest of birthdays to our singing, shooting, crabby claw defensive star!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I argue with this mf literally everyday about any and EVERY topic. He annoys me, makes me laugh, makes me roll my eyes to the highest degree, but this mf has had my back ever since we rocked together with Templeogue Basketball Club in 19/20 and then with SETU Sport Carlow for my final season playing, and he has been a HUGE addition to kilkennystarsbasketball for these last couple years.
