Amazing! We had a brilliant weekend and it was great experience for everyone! This was only the second ever competition for athletes and to get to compete at the National Games, we couldn’t be prouder!

Update from Special Olympics Irish Games, great day for GLTC athletes!

Alison won Gold in her division
Max won Gold in his division
Liam won Gold in his division
Gagik got Bronze in his division
And Natasha won 6th in her division!!

From our three other Connacht badminton team members James got Gold, Henry got Silver and Justin got Bronze!

Today, five of our GLTC athletes begin their journey at the Special Olympics Ireland Games in Dublin (18th–21st June), representing Team Connaught.

We are incredibly proud of you all. This is a huge achievement for our club and reflects the dedication of our athletes, coaches, volunteers, and families.

Best wishes also to our badminton coach Declan, Head Badminton Coach for Team Connaught, and to Éilis and Sarah who are honoured to attend as chaperones.

As the Games begin, we are reminded of the Special Olympics Athlete Oath:
