The 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 would like to wish all our competitors representing Dublin the very best of luck this weekend at the National Association of Regional Game Councils (NARGC) Intercounty Shoot at The National Shooting Ground Esker

With over 800 competitors, along with their families, friends and supporters attending from across the country, it promises to be a fantastic weekend of competition, sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Safe travels to everyone making their way to the National Shooting Grounds, and we wish all participants a safe, enjoyable and successful weekend.

Well done to all of our shooters who represented Dublin at the Leinster Counties Clay Shooting Finals, held over the weekend at Bishops Mountain Shooting Grounds.

The 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 finished in joint 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲, putting in a strong performance against tough competition.

Congratulations to 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝗵 & 𝗟𝘂𝘀𝗸 , who secured an excellent 3rd place finish in the Club Team competition.

🏆 A special congratulations to 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗴𝗲, who was crowned Leinster 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲-𝗯𝘆-𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻, a fantastic individual achievement!

🦆 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🦆

Yesterday (Sunday, 14th June), Dublin Regional Game Council proudly carried out our Annual Mallard Release, tagging hundreds of ducks with official NARGC leg rings before releasing them across various locations in Dublin 📍

🌿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀
The Ducks released were part of a conservation initiative, helping to support and enhance biodiversity in our parks and local community spaces.

A huge thank you to the National Association of Regional Game Councils (NARGC) for their annual Bird Subsidy Grant, making important initiatives like this possible.

👏 And of course, a massive thank you to all our volunteers and supporters who helped tag, transport, and release the ducks, and to members of the public who got involved on the day. Your efforts make a real difference!

🎯 𝐖𝐞𝐬 𝐎’𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐭

There will be a special Memorial Shoot in honour of Wes O’Reilly held on 31st May at Fingal Sporting Club. This is a chance to celebrate a great man, enjoy some friendly competition, and support an important cause.

🏆 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐲 𝐌𝐜𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐲 – 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 🏆

The Dublin Regional Game Council were honoured to present 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗱𝘆 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝘆 for the very first time, a special trophy awarded to the person who recorded the heaviest Grouse taken during the September Grouse season on the Dublin Mountains.

We were delighted to welcome 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘆 and 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘆, Paddy’s wife and daughter, who graciously presented the trophy to this year’s deserving winner, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱. It was a proud and memorable moment for everyone present.
Emma spoke beautifully and fondly about her father Paddy and his long-standing association with the Dublin Regional Game Association, a touching reminder of his contribution, passion, and the legacy he leaves behind within the community.

Congratulations to 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 on winning the inaugural Paddy McCartney Perpetual Trophy, and sincere thanks to the McCartney family for sharing this special occasion with us. A fitting tribute to Paddy and a trophy that will carry great meaning for years to come!
