Dalkey Hockey Club Ladies Open Training Sessions

Calling all players!

Dalkey Hockey Club has just started a Ladies team for the 2026/2027 season!

We will be holding open training sessions in the next few weeks!

Dates and Time:
Wednesday 26th August: 6.45-8.45 in St Joseph's of Cluny
Wednesday 2nd September: 6.45-8.45pm in Loreto Dalkey

Week 2:

That’s a wrap on another fantastic 2 weeks of Dalkey Hockey Summer camp 🏑 ☀️ 🎉

We finished the week by celebrating all the hard work with some well-deserved prizes 🏆🎉 And of course our annual water fight and water hockey relay race!! 💦

So many memories made, new friendships formed and improved hockey skills and confidence 🙌 Thank you and well done to everyone who participated over these 2 weeks. It has been a BLAST 🤩

We’re all already counting down until the next one 🥳🎉

Week 2:

Thursday was all about 3D skills and developing our skills to the next level !

We worked on lifting the ball, eliminating defenders and creating space before putting it all into action through our matches! 🏑🔥 we also had a variety of ‘Coach VS Player’ challenges with rewards of raffles tickets which created great enthusiasm amongst everyone 🙌

Week 2:

Wednesday was all about attacking, shooting, pressure and beating opponents throughout tackles and matches 🔥 🏑

We incorporated a variety of techniques and skills to help optimise our winning outcomes, along with a side of fun challenging games such as ‘hockey bowling’, 1v1’s and of course the team matches!!!

Week 2:

Tuesday we began to focus on defensive skills, aiming to maximise our techniques and winning tackles.

We finished the day with lots of fun drills, challenges and competitive games. Everyone had the chance to show off and use their new learned skills, especially in the competition matches — The leader board was super tight!!!! 😃😬 🙌 🎉

Week 2:

Monday marked the start of another great week of our Dalkey Hockey Summer Camp 🏑

On Monday Day 1 we focused on mastering the fundamentals, refining key skills and incorporate them into technical drills. 🤩

We then put those skills into practice through a range of fun games and engaging drills before finishing the day with plenty of matches. 🏆 🏑 🥳

Dalkey Hockey Club Summer Camp!
Week 1: Friday

Last Friday we had our annual water sports fun day at Dalkey Hockey summer camp 🙌💦🎈 To start the day off we began with our matches as each team competed to win 1st and 2nd place on the leader board!!!

The second half of the day was all about water fun! Everyone took part in hockey obstacle courses, relay races, and team challenges before finishing the day off with a huge water fight involving all the kids and coaches, a perfect way to round off the week! 💦🤪🏊‍♀️🏑

The day finally concluded with our group dance performances and prize giving. Well done to everyone who took part this week, bring on week 2 !!!

Dalkey Hockey Club Summed Camp!
Week 1: Monday - Thursday ☀️ 🏑

First week back at our Dalkey hockey Summer camp has been an absolute blast 🙌. From Day 1 we focused on our basic skills and tactics which were incorporated into different themes of drills through out the week such as defensive, attacking and 3D.

It was fantastic to see everyone working hard, growing in confidence, progressing in skills and making new friends along the way 💕🏑⭐️

Elite tournament in Kilkenny Day 2 🏑

On day 2 our girls were much stronger in the plate competition, seeing the girls finish on level points and level goal difference with Railway but unfortunately Railway had 1 goal scored leaving us to claim 2nd place.

The girls enjoyed a well earned swim at the Newpark Hotel in the morning before day 2 🏊‍♀️
This gave the players the chance to bond, make new friends and new memories off the pitch ❤️ Lots of fun had, new friends made and loads of skills shown. Elite Hockey Cup
