Joyeux quatorze juillet!

Va-va-voom and a Happy Bastille Day to our French friends, extended clans and casual supporters of wonderful food, Nouvelle Vague et la belle vie!

To celebrate, here's a stylised model we created (for animation) featuring a very de Gaulle-looking pilot scanning the skies of WW1 - remaining careful not to spill a drop of that grape juice. Behind him stands his trusty steed, a chunky biplane.

Coincidentally, it bears the emblem of the famous Escadrille 3 Les Cigognes: the Alsatian stork of Squadron 3. This particular mount carries the insignia of Flight 3, with the stork's wings lowered. The squadron's other two flights used variations with the wings held upright and fully spread, making it easier for pilots to identify their units in the air.

The stork officially became the squadron's emblem 110 years ago, and it remains in use today by Escadron de Chasse 1/2 Cigognes, preserving one of French military aviation's most enduring traditions.

In the interests of impartiality, good luck to both sides in tonights game.

Normally, you have to look out the window to see skyscrapers, but we do like to shake things up, Inception-style.

Here are some of the quirky buildings we've designed and produced - they're too small to go out and play yet, but we do let them see the grass and feel the Summer air.

Our Thin Lizzy – Quartet illustration has been a long-time favourite. Over time we've repurposed it as posters, T-shirts, art prints, bar blades, slates and more, and it's remained one of our most popular designs.

Shown here as a mini print, these often find their way into orders as a little 'thank you' from us.

We've also created a couple of special edition '4-Shots' prints, loosely inspired by Warhol's iconic Marilyn Monroe series. Each features four vibrant colourways of the same illustration, making them perfect displayed individually or hung together as a striking set.

Landmarks: But Wait - There's More

Following our earlier post on Irish Landmarks, here are some of the test models produced to test colours, sizes and structural integrity.

A very early version of Phil Lynott in Dennis The Menace mode joins an eclectic quartet of landmarks, with a handy mat for scale.

From world-famous icons to places that might have you saying, "Wait... that's in my county?" here's a collection of Irish landmarks we've modelled in 3D for a variety of projects over the years.

We've picked one landmark from each of Ireland's 32 counties (yes, we had to make some tough choices!), and arranged them alphabetically by county using the English names.

So, how many can you recognise? More importantly, how many have you actually visited? Be honest - we won't judge if your county's landmark is still on your to-do list.

Count them up, compare scores, and see who can claim ultimate Irish landmark bragging rights. Good luck... and no peeking at the labels which we might post... one day!
